A couple of posts ago, we shared some exciting news: Little Snackers is expanding to better support our incredible community and meet the needs of our waitlisted families 💛

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Yami, one of the amazing reasons that expansion is possible!

Yami discovered her love for pediatric occupational therapy after witnessing a family friend thrive through OT, an experience that inspired her passion for helping children and families feel supported and empowered. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Yami is dedicated to helping children feel safe, confident, and successful during mealtimes.

Her clinical interests include: sensory sensitivities, oral motor skill development, picky eating and self-feeding.

Using child-led, play-based approaches, Yami partners closely with families to create calm, supportive mealtime routines that encourage growth while honoring each child’s readiness and comfort.

Our expansion means more support, more care, and more opportunities for families to feel seen and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Yami to the Little Snackers team!

We see you, we hear you, and we truly appreciate your patience.

Because of the growing need for services, Little Snackers Therapies has been working behind the scenes to expand our team, and we’re excited to share that we’ve hired two new therapists to help support more children and families!

As we onboard our new staff, we thank you for your continued patience. Our team will be in touch via phone or email soon to begin appointment scheduling.

Being introduced to new foods can feel overwhelming… but moments like this one right here, remind us that progress can be joyful. 💛

Michelle, one of our amazing feeding therapists, recently met with one of our little snackers at our clinic in Plymouth. Together, they explored cucumbers dipped in ranch dressing with a fun pair of ” eyes” to make food exploration feel safe, silly, and stress-free!

Small wins build lifelong skills. And we celebrate every single one!

A Thanksgiving reminder from Little Snackers 🦃

Thanksgiving is not the time to work on feeding therapy goals. It’s a time to support your child through a busy, sensory-heavy holiday centered around food.

With lots of smells, full plates and unfamiliar dishes, it’s completely normal for children to feel overwhelmed. If your child shows interest in a food, feel free to offer a very small portion on their plate, but keep the pressure off.

You can also give them a comfortable spot at the end of the table where they’ll have a bit more breathing room. Most importantly, avoid pushing new foods today and focus on simply enjoying the holiday together!
