I cannot think of any words for this tragic incident. Praying that her loved ones can mourn peacefully and heal on their timeline. Let’s not become more divided, but become closer and find peace and a resolution so these types of horrific events never occur anymore.

🦃 The Turkey Too Strong to Be Thanksgiving Dinner

Deep in the woods just outside of town lived a turkey named Titan. Titan wasn’t like the other turkeys—while they spent their days pecking at bugs and nervously watching for hunters, Titan had bigger goals. He wanted to be the strongest bird the forest had ever seen.

One crisp fall morning, Titan strutted past a group of hunters who whispered, “Look at the size of that one… he’d feed the whole family!” Titan just smirked and kept walking. He wasn’t worried—after all, he had a secret weapon: Code 3 Fitness.

Every day, before sunrise, Titan would sneak out of the woods and head straight through the back door of Code 3 Fitness. The gym members got used to seeing a determined turkey loading plates onto the barbell, wings strapped in chalk, eyes laser-focused. He squatted acorns, deadlifted logs, and benched hay bales. The members cheered him on because, honestly, it was inspiring to watch.

Soon, Titan wasn’t just strong—he was unstoppable. Hunters tried to chase him, but he’d outrun them. They tried to corner him, but he’d shoulder-press fallen trees out of the way. One hunter swore Titan flexed at him once, and he fainted on the spot.

But even the strongest turkey needs proper nutrition, so Titan made weekly trips to the farmers’ market. And every time, he picked up the same thing: a tub of creatine. After all, creatine comes from beef—and Titan, being a proud turkey, wasn’t about to eat steak. Supplements, however? Totally fair game.

As Thanksgiving approached, the other turkeys hid nervously, but Titan walked tall. The hunters saw him and immediately shook their heads.

“Nope,” one said. “Not even going to try.”

Another added, “Honestly… I think he could carry us back to camp.”

And so, Titan became the first turkey in history to retire from being prey. He spent his days training new forest animals at Code 3 Fitness, teaching them proper form, discipline, and the power of creatine.

Every Thanksgiving after that, the hunters didn’t go for turkeys—they went for gym memberships.

And Titan? He lived happily ever after, benching more than any human in the county.

Don’t be like Gary!!

The Tale of Gary “Two-Day” Thompson
Gary Thompson was a man of great ambition and very little follow-through. On Monday, he bought a brand-new gym membership, a pair of neon shorts bright enough to blind a small village, and a protein shaker the size of a toddler.
He strutted into the gym like a superhero—if superheroes arrived late, didn’t stretch, and immediately tried to bench press more than their personal body weight plus their emotional baggage.
After exactly 1.7 workouts, Gary decided he was basically a fitness icon. “Consistency?” he scoffed. “I’ve already been here twice this week. The muscles should be arriving any minute.”
To celebrate his imminent transformation, Gary rewarded himself with a feast that would make the neighborhood raccoons hold a quiet candlelight vigil in admiration—pizza, donuts, nachos, something that might once have been a vegetable but was now mostly cheese… Gary believed deeply in balance: two days of lifting, five days of eating like an unsupervised trash panda.
Weeks later, Gary looked in the mirror expecting to see a carved Greek statue. Instead, he saw Gary. Regular Gary. Slightly more confused Gary. Definitely not-yet-ripped Gary.
Finally, a wise gym veteran patted him on the shoulder and said, “Son, you can’t out-train a diet that raccoons look at and say, ‘Whoa, buddy, take it easy.’ And those muscles? They only show up if you do.”
And that’s when Gary learned the sacred truth of weight training:
If you want results, you’ve gotta be consistent—and maybe don’t eat trash that even the raccoons would pass on!

A Project for Father and Son

Code 3 Health & Fitness is a family-owned-and-operated business based in Winfield, WV that was started by father-and-son team, Allen and Canyon Lude. They realized that while most people have some sort of health/wellness goals, they often don’t know how to achieve them. They also notice that there are too many scams and fads out there duping people out of money, providing minimal/temporary results. With that in mind, they decided to create Code 3.

Allen has spent many years in various first responder roles, including firefighting, EMS, and corrections, which is how Code 3 got its name. “Code 3” in the first responder world means “proceed with lights and sirens”. In other words, whatever is happening is urgent and requires a rapid response.

The driving force behind Code 3 Health & Fitness, therefore, is that wellness is urgent, and most people want to see results as quickly as possible. Through supplements, fitness coaching, nutrition consultation, and behavioral support, Code 3 aims to help people get the results they want in a healthy way and learn how to maintain the gains they make to ensure lasting results.
