On July 12, Tyler and Stephanie Moore were so excited to see their first child through ultrasound and announce to their friends and family they were having a boy. Over the next two days, unforeseen complications caused Stephanie to go into labor. On Friday morning, at 20 weeks along, she gave birth to Tidus Odin Moore at Portneuf Medical Center. Tidus was 11-inches long and weighed 14 ounces. For
the two hours that followed, Tyler, Stephanie, Tidus’ grandmothers and a close family friend were able to hold Tidus while his heart beat. Even after his heart stopped beating, Stephanie and Tyler were able to hold their precious little one and have cherished photos taken. The unexpected loss has been hard in a myriad of ways. Things happened so quickly. In the past few days, the Moores have felt love from and support from friends, family and long-time acquaintances. They are grateful for the outpouring of love and support, from phone calls, personal visits, people providing meals, words of kindness, flowers, cards and reaching out to them on Facebook. Colonial Funeral Home graciously offered to provide funeral services free of charge to the Moores to ease their burden at this time. Tyler and Stephanie prepared for the birth of their son, and in light of unforeseen events and medical costs, anticipate medical costs to be more than they planned for. As one of Steph’s sisters, I am appreciative for all who have reached out to them, or sent a card, even when the words cannot express the sorrow they feel. It has not gone unnoticed. Any donation will help ease the financial burden from this situation.
