What a week at South Port Square!

We have been on the road in more ways than one. Our Sales Team hosted two great events at Babcock Ranch. A big thank you to the amazing staff at Oar and Iron for taking such good care of us.

At the very same time, our residents were off on their own adventure, heading to Mount Celery Hill for a celebratory Nordic Walk challenge. They made it 80 feet straight up and showed us all how it is done. Go South Port Seniors!

We also had some really special moments worth celebrating. Linda is truly living her best life just seven months after moving in and her smile says it all. And we shared a little happy birthday cheer for Mary as she celebrated her 60th birthday and holding, wink! wink! our little secret.

It was another busy week for our Sales Team as well. We hosted a Residents Panel Luncheon where guests had the chance to hear directly from the people who know South Port best, our residents.

And of course, we wrapped up the week the way we always love to, with Friday happy hour, good conversations, lots of laughter, and great friends.

We kicked off the week on a high note with a successful Resident Panel Luncheon, bringing together great conversation, insight, and community spirit.

Throughout the week, we had the pleasure of showcasing just a few of the many activities our active seniors enjoy every day. From friendly competition in billiards, cards, and games, to the creativity of our card-making club, there’s always something happening. We also took a peek into our fitness center and joined in on Nordic walking—just a glimpse of the vibrant lifestyle our residents embrace.

And the excitement didn’t stop there—several of our residents set sail on a cruise this week and shared photos from their incredible adventure. We love seeing our community making memories both near and far.

As always, we’re wrapping up the week the right way—with a fabulous Happy Hour to celebrate good times and great company.

Another wonderful week here at South Port Square! Our residents stayed active, engaged, and inspired with a full lineup of events and experiences.

We explored creativity in our wood carving class, enjoyed an enriching history lesson with Jennifer from the Charlotte County Library, and kept moving with refreshing water aerobics. The week also featured a delightful Captain’s Dinner filled with great food and even better company.

We wrapped it all up in style at our Spring Fling Happy Hour — a perfect way to celebrate the season together. It truly was a week full of connection, learning, and fun.

Another incredible program is making a meaningful impact at South Port Square.

Under the leadership of Life Services Director Smita Shinde, we were proud to offer an 8-week Evidence-Based Brain Health Program developed by Dr. Cynthia Green, designed to support cognitive wellness in older adults. This enriching experience empowered our residents with practical tools and strategies to enhance memory, focus, and overall brain health.

We are excited to celebrate the 32 residents who successfully graduated from the program. Their dedication and enthusiasm made this journey truly special, and we were honored to recognize their achievements with a graduation ceremony.
