We were delighted to welcome members of The Salvation Army as they came in to play beautiful music and deliver special gifts to our residents for the holidays. Their kindness and generosity brought so much joy and cheer to our halls.

🎄✨ Holiday Tour of the Trees at Marwood! ✨🎄

Family and friends are invited to join their loved ones on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. for a festive stroll through our halls. Enjoy a lovely display of Christmas trees paired with stunning window artwork created by the talented students of Marysville High School. This is a wonderful opportunity for family to spend time with their loved one enjoying the Christmas season.

After your tour, we invite you to stop by your dining room for complimentary refreshments and holiday cheer.

🛍️ Black Friday Shopping at Marwood! 🎁

What a joyful day at our Marwood Black Friday shopping event! A total of 74 residents enjoyed browsing and selecting special items, all thanks to the generous donations we received.

Residents shopped for free and had twelve bustling tables filled with goodies, treasures, and thoughtful surprises to choose from. Smiles were everywhere and the holiday spirit was definitely in the air!

🇺🇸🎨 Special Artwork for Our Veterans 🎨🇺🇸
We were honored to receive beautiful artwork from the talented students at Michigamme Elementary! These pieces were created using oil pastels, pencils, permanent markers, and tempera paint — each one carefully crafted with love and gratitude.
The project began during the week of Veterans Day, but the students took their time, knowing their artwork would be given to someone truly special during the holiday season. Their thoughtfulness and creativity shine through every detail.
A heartfelt thank you to the students and art teacher for helping brighten the season for our veterans here at Marwood. 💛🇺🇸

🦌 Deer Hunting at Marwood! 🎯

Our Activities staff brought the fun this week by dressing up as deer while residents were given dart guns to “hunt”! The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of playful competition.

Everyone had such a great time—another memorable day at Marwood! 🤎🏹

📺🎶 TV Theme Song Bingo at Marwood! 🎶📺

Activities staff led a lively round of Bingo with a nostalgic twist — all centered around our favorite classic TV shows! Residents listened to theme songs and guessed the shows, and it was amazing how just a few seconds of music or even a single picture brought back treasured memories of watching with family and friends.

There were plenty of laughs, lots of reminiscing, and yes… even a few “Yabba Dabba Doos!” thrown in for good measure!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the shows that made us smile then and still warm our hearts today. 💛

🌟 Resident Council Recognition 🌟

In October, our residents voted to add a special moment to each Resident Council meeting — a time to recognize a staff member or fellow resident who has inspired them. This new tradition has quickly become a meaningful way to celebrate the kindness and connection within our Marwood family.

In October, the Resident Council honored Teri for her dedication, passion, and hard work. Her commitment shines brightly every day, and our residents were proud to show their appreciation.

In November, they recognized Norma, celebrating her for being a wonderful friend and a warm presence in our community.

We are grateful for the relationships that make Marwood such a special place to live and work. 💛
