Hi! I would like to thank everyone for all the support of Season of the Wick these last three and a half years. This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later. Many of you know I have been battling health issues these past few years that have caused so much difficulty when it comes to keeping up with this biz physically and mentally, my hours increased with my office job making my free time even more limited (a great problem to have!) and just as many businesses are facing, inflation while living in San Diego is crushing. The cost of overhead for the business has increased beyond what I can maintain, (shipping supplies/costs, scent oils, wax and even the glass since thrift shops are so saturated now). I have always kept my prices low vs. other shops that do what I do while prioritizing quality ingredients. That will always be the case for me. The last challenge of managing SOTW with chronic pain has been living in a small apartment, on the 3rd floor with no elevator. With all this being said, it has come time for us to make some decisions.
I am SO excited to announce that our little family is moving to Portland, OR! This is going to create such a positive shift in the quality of our lives and we can’t wait to see what’s in store. Hopefully, a journey to health and wellness is included. What does this mean for SOTW? I love this project too much to let it go. I will need to take some time to rebuild and restructure, but candles will still be getting made just for you. We will be moving into a house with more space which will make this business MUCH more functional. It has been such an honor getting to know many of you. The support has had me in awe and I am beyond grateful. I hope you continue to follow me along this journey and as always, I thank you for your continued support. I have made friends through this business, found very cool other small businesses to support and have been able to lean into my artistic outlet that I had never been able to before SOTW. This account will probably be taking an extended break, but I will be back soon! - Love, Lindsay
