Alumni Spotlight: Bo Brinson

Bo’s journey is one of resilience, mentorship, and transformation.

After multiple periods of incarceration and treatment, Bo’s turning point came when he connected with a BTC mentor who believed in him.

“What I appreciated about the BTC program was that I had a mentor that looked like me and understood some of the adversities I’ve faced. That made a difference in how I navigated the foundation of my recovery.”

Today, Bo is the Director of Oregon Recovers, a Certified Recovery Mentor II and Forensic Peer, a statewide trainer, and a proud husband and father.

His message: “Believe in yourself. Do the work. Make your own lane.”

Stories like Bo’s are why this work matters.

The best event of the whole year is the one where we all come together for one purpose and mission, advocating for access to recovery resources right where it counts -at the capitol building.

Thanks to the Oregon Recovers team for another day packed with education, information, support and a place where we can show up & ask for what we need as a community.
