Margo Rosingana Yoga

Margo Rosingana Yoga supporting yoga practitioners on their path of inquiry and curiosity with sensitivity and awareness Margo Rosingana began teaching yoga in Boulder, Colorado.

She received her 500 hour RYT status with Yoga Alliance after completing her training in alignment based Vinyasa flow. Since then, Margo has felt drawn to learn and delve deeper into the art of teaching restorative yoga. She completed Level I and II Anjali Restorative Yoga Teacher Training as well as Bhava Vinyasa Teacher Training, a practice that combines the fluidity of a vinyasa practice with the healing of intentional rest. Her restorative classes move the student through a series of supported poses with elements of imagery, guided meditation and Pranayama to allow the student to ease into a place of intentional rest. With roots in New England, Margo moved to Portland, two years ago with her husband to be closer to family and the ocean, one of her favorite teachers.

I always feel a little bit lighter once we’ve made it through January. A fun fact that I like to pull out this time of year is that those of us in the northern U.S. gain over 70 minutes of light during the month of February. The increase in light is greater between now and the Spring Equinox than the increase in light between the Equinox and Summer Solstice. So there’s that to look forward to.

And oddly enough, I often feel like the transition from winter to spring can feel more challenging in some way. It feels like there is an expectation that because the days are getting longer the weather should be warmer but that’s not quite how it works in northern New England.

In order to support you during this liminal space, I am offering a workshop called Winter Sanctuary, which includes 6 weeks of practice emails that I hope will inspire you during this time.

While the ground may be frozen and dormant, processes are unfolding deep below the surface that move towards growth and renewal. While it's tempting to want to rush this process, we know that nature moves at its own pace. This offering will ask you to honor that pace and spend time contemplating the gifts of your practice and prepare for shifts felt both internally and externally.

In-person workshop: March 1 | 7:00 - 8:30 pm

I tend to focus on alignment and steady breath in my practice not as a set of rules, but as an infinite amount of lines of energy that can serve as an anchor for my mind.

Those threads create possibility which allows me to carry on … even if it’s just until the end of the day.

Opportunities to practice with me this week and every week:

Slow Flow | Thursdays 9:30

Vinyasa | Fridays 7:00am & Restorative | Saturdays 4:00pm

Slow Flow
Thursdays 9:30

These classes oscillate between steady alignment and organic, non-linear movements. I like to feel the contrast of strong muscular engagement with buoyancy. That’s the tension that keeps me interested in practice. It creates a container for curiosity to arise and gives me a clear sense of my own capacity to embrace these polarities simultaneously.

This is how the physicality of asana translates to the other dimensions of being human.

These classes are offered as a hybrid: livestream and in-person.

I would love to see you!
