General information

Pam Blair caught the yogabug in 1998 when she clamored into a crowded Pittsburgh Public Library room for her first Hatha yoga class. "None of us had mats. In true east-coast style, as soon as the doors opened we ran into the room to claim our spot. It was just short of pushing each other out of the way. The teacher was an amazing Jewish lady with a deep voice who oozed love. This was my introduction to asana." In 1999, she met her spiritual teacher, Sri Gary Olsen, and became a life-long student of Surat Shabda Yoga. This path has been her focus since then. "To say that my experience has been transforming is a terrible understatement. It has been my life." After years of running and cycling and some injuries, Pam returned to asana in a renewed way. Discovering Power Vinyasa and other forms of yoga sparked her fire to teach and share her passion. "I've been blessed to share yoga with many people through yoga studios, corporate venues, higher education, private groups and individuals. I view teaching yoga as a humble service." She now teaches at Yoga Pearl, Root Whole Body as well as offers private sessions.
