Sad that it’s necessary, but pleased to see those in our community step up to support families. Free food AND fun, recognizing that the latter is a vital part of living, not just surviving 💖

OHP WILL COVER COST OF FOOD FOR MEMBERS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS REQUIRING SPECIAL DIETS

Their current dietician can request this from OHP by filling out the below application. If they don't have a dietician, they can request a referral to a dietician from their P*P who then can request this from OHP.

I’m reaching out to share information regarding upcoming changes to Oregon Health Plan's payment for behavioral health services.

Because of recent Medicaid funding cuts at the federal level, the Oregon Health Authority has decided that beginning October 1, 2025, they will no longer pay for mental health therapy sessions with providers who are not contracted or "in-network" with OHP (https://www.careoregon.org/providers/support/provider-updates/2025/07/31/behavioral-health-outpatient-network-updates).

If you’d like to voice your concerns and share how these policies will impact you, I encourage you to reach out to those who create and enact health care policy.

To provide feedback to the Oregon Health Authority legal team, email OHA.OmbudsOffice@odhsoha.oregon.gov, call 1-877-642-0450, or mail OHA Ombuds Program, 500 Summer Street NE, E20, Salem, OR 97301.

To contact the Oregon Health Authority directly, call 1-800-273-0557, email OHP.ClientServices@odhsoha.oregon.gov, or mail Oregon Health Authority Client Services Unit, PO Box 14015, Salem, OR 97309.

You can also call CareOregon (800-224-4840) and select the "members" option to provide a grievance (this is documented and tracked).

To provide online feedback to Governor Tina Kotek, visit https://www.oregon.gov/gov/Pages/share-your-opinion.aspx.

We all have limitations, and it’s nothing to be ashamed about. I love this perspective shift, as it allows us to practice self-compassion while acknowledging the impact our limitations can have on others 🙌
