A couple New Moons ago the idea of planting a seed of ease came into intention. During that time I wrote out some ideas, and sure enough the pattern of the writing looked much like a seed. Recently, during another meditation of sorts, I asked how I can nurture and cultivate the seed that was planted and am working on making space for that clarity to come through fully. However, the one piece that is crystal clear is to truly live these values to sprout and tend what was planted, to really make it real. For my birthday I was gifted this beautified version of my original planted seed, now sprouting…..what gorgeous flowers and/or foliage will it gift? How can I fertilize this and continue cultivating deeper ease in my life, and the lives of those who come to me as strangers/clients/friends/family seeking support? How can we support collective ease?

Taking time to reflect, to relax, to allow yourself to settle into a state of ease. Today recognized my body, my mind, my soul, required time, required space to cultivate a state of ease. This is what I am bringing into my bodywork and healing arts practices moving forward, facilitating states of ease through true and deep presence with myself, and in turn my clients and the world around me. In settling into this state, cultivating this new framework, I am filled with more gratitude than I could have ever previously imagined for every person and experience I’ve encountered and will continue to encounter that have taught me (and continue to teach me every time I forget) such valuable lessons in holding awareness, ever so delicately, of all that life has to offer…and even more importantly of letting it all go, allowing space for the beauty of such impermanence. Now, all of this may or may not make much sense, it may even seem slightly ludicrous and inapplicable to my practice as a bodyworker and practitioner of healing arts, and that’s the joy of it all! Such wonderful levity and play in the process! I encourage you join me on this journey, come sit with me, work with me, learn with me, teach me, collaborate with me, create with me…and in the process may you find what you came looking for in the first place. I am honored and humbled every time I have the opportunity to place my hands on another person, physically, energetically, to be as present as I can be with the totality of all this other Being, with you. I am honored to share in the joys, failures, and creative problem solving endeavors of your healing🙏🌿🦋💗

Sometimes we all need a helping hand to “stretch it out”, especially as we pass from season to season. We’ve entered the beginning of Fall, how are you preparing your body and mind for the change of seasons? I am not the healer, you are. I’m here to facilitate your healing, to help guide and answer questions while you and your body direct the session. I’m grateful for the trust my clients have in me during our time together 🙏

It’s not always good vibes and calm breathing, some days it’s heavy vibes, having a solid cry on the bike ride to the studio, and needing reminders to slow down! Some days we need to lay down on the floor and just feel rage, sadness, and all the other “unpleasant” emotions that come with being alive…it’s part of living and requires the same respect we give to the pleasant “happy” feelings/experiences. Allow yourself Grace in times of crisis/pain/sorrow/rage, take what you need and recenter…and sometimes it just takes a little longer, we might need a little help remembering how too. In those moments reach out rather than withdraw, it’s okay not to hide when you’re not okay…feel it, honor it, bless it, then let it go (a little piece of wisdom from )

Slow down, breathe, re-center…

Lilac will always be tied with Hyacinth as my favorite flowers of Spring! After a long day seeing these beautiful blooms shine at dusk and breathing in deeply their sweet scent I feel at peace! Literally STOP and smell the flowers! Savor the moment (it might be your last, and that is not meant to be dark just a fact of the cycles of life). Every moment is so precious!

Only recently did I learn that Lilac even has medicinal properties, I ate few raw flowers and it’s like a Spring explosion! I’d like to experiment with a Lilac honey/syrup!

My favorite part about Lilac and Hyacinth are that they do not last long, you have notice them, appreciate them, and always too soon say goodbye. They are so beautiful, and the cycle is almost tragic. Many thanks and much gratitude to these beautiful allies 🦋🙏❤️

Incredibly excited to grow my herbal medicine library! I am still unsure of where this path will take me, whether I will stay the course to become a clinical herbalist or just utilize this knowledge for myself and be a resource for the communities I am connected to when asked for support. Regardless this is precious information I am thrilled to be learning and synthesizing while spending my time with !

Happy Spring! The Vernal Equinox has arrived! So many wonderful Spring medicines are about to return to vitality and offer up their gifts! Hyacinth (and Lilac) for me is the epitome of Spring scents, and revitalizes me on the cloudy and chilled days that remain during this beginning of my favorite season. I offer my gratitude to our plant relatives for returning again to teach, heal, and share their beauty! Happy Spring! Breathe in the beauty, stop and smell the flowers!

Spring is stirring now,
Life awakens from slumber,
Make way for this gift…

Fig Tree is waking from sleep now, delicious fruit to come! Rosemary ima the background blooming again! Soon enough I’ll begin planting medicine for this year and tending the garden. Where can you tend a portion of this land? Can you pick up some trash from your neighborhood park? Can you identify some of the edible and medicinal plants that grown nearby (even the weeds that break through the sidewalks can be medicines)?

How will you engage with the world waking up around you this cycle? How is this reflected in the way you engage with your body-mind?

Taking advantage of a sunny Sunday to trim and harvest one of my favorite medicines, Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus). Sipping her tea, drinking in her volatile oils, bundling and drying her branches for winter medicine.

Like all plants she has properties for multiple body systems. I’m drinking her tea today for her uplifting mental properties and anti-anxiety effects. Medicine grows everywhere, even in the city.

Preparing for my next client at 510 NE Dekum…could it be you?

Contemplating the day when I can transition fully to my bodywork practice and move away from relying on a “day job” to cover healthcare benefits, one step at a time, look to the expanders like always reminds me.
