InterMed is a physician-owned and physician-run medical group founded on the goals of patient-centered primary care that is enhanced by integrated specialty services. Founded in 1993, InterMed serves 75,000 primary care patients in the community through our practice sites in Portland, South Portland, and Yarmouth. Specialty and ancillary services supports patient care with laboratory testing, radiology, diagnostic imaging, as well as therapeutic services, such as physical therapy. Specialty physician services include Anti-Coagulation, Audiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear Nose & Throat, OB/GYN, and Sports Medicine. Our Marginal Way location boast two state-of-the-art surgical rooms, where we offer procedures for our Gynecologic, Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose, and Throat), Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Urology patients. InterMed also provides on-site medical care and physical therapy services at IDEXX and L.L.Bean.

December 25: All offices are closed.
January 1: Urgent Care, Lab, and Imaging are open. All other offices are closed.

Meet Julie Franklin, NP!

Julie has been a Family Nurse Practitioner in Maine since 2015, and we're thrilled to welcome her InterMed's Yarmouth location!

Julie loves helping patients optimize their health and wellness and takes a whole-person approach to care, integrating lifestyle into every decision to get to the root of health concerns.

A lifelong learner, Julie started her career studying Russian, Conservation Biology, and Environmental Toxicology before following a childhood dream into medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys being active outdoors with her husband, children, pets, and even her ducks and chickens.

As we head into Thanksgiving, our InterMed locations came together for a food drive and collected 896 pounds of food for Wayside Food Programs.

Wayside has been increasing access to nutritious food for our neighbors in Southern Maine since 1986, using rescued food and community partnerships to reduce waste, fight hunger, and strengthen our community.

We are grateful to everyone who donated and proud to support Wayside’s ongoing work in our community.
