Dear clients,

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for all your support during my last 11 years of being your massage therapist at Bodyworks by RaVonda. This business has given me the flexibility I needed to be a business owner while also being a caregiver for my mom.

You all have been more than understanding about my role as a caregiver and so supportive on the days I needed to stay at home to take care of her.

For those that do not know, mom passed away on June 24th, 2022. My heart is so heavy and I miss her so much. The amount of love and support you all had for me and my mom during these past years will never be forgotten. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the opportunity to be your therapist and also have the chance to take care of my mom. You instilled a confidence in me that I didn't have previously and I am a better person for it.

It is with mixed emotions that I'm now announcing that it's time for the next chapter in my life, as I've made the decision to move to Birmingham. Along with this next chapter comes the very difficult decision to officially close Bodyworks by RaVonda, effective immediately. Update for funeral arrangements for RaVonda’s mother, Carol Moncrief:

Visitation will be Saturday evening, June 25th, 6 pm to 8 pm at Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave,
Wetumpka, AL). The funeral service will also be at Gassett on Sunday, June 26th at 2 pm followed by a very short graveside service at Central Baptist Church (3545 W Central Rd, Wetumpka, AL).

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Kindred Hospice Montgomery or your local hospice organization.

My mother, Carol Ann Moncrief, achieved her dream and went to be with the Lord at about 4:30 this morning. Mom is finally at rest after an extended battle with COPD and fibromyalgia. It is comforting to know that she did not exit this life in pain and that we were able to be with her during her last days. It was very fitting that on this particular day and hour, the planets aligned to create a stairway to heaven, and the hospice nurse who responded to our call is named Hevan (pronounced heaven)!

My heart is heavy today and my emotions are high. As most of you know I have been taken care of my mom for many years now. About a month ago she was placed on hospice. As of yesterday she has requested for us to make her comfortable and asked to come off all other medications. I'm sharing here so that all my family, friends and clients can be updated with all that is going on. It's really hard during this time to remember to call or reach out to everyone that has been so supportive of us. I would like to take this time to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all your understanding and patience with running a business and being a caregiver.
As of now my business will be on pause so that I can spend time with her. I will try my best to reach out to all who have appointments in the upcoming weeks. Please look for emails for updates as well. If you call or text me and I don't respond quickly please know I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Prayers are definitely appreciated during this difficult time.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Dear Clients,

As most of you are aware, we are experiencing a rise of positive COVID-19 cases in our area. Because COVID-19 symptoms mimic those of the common cold, flu and strep, I kindly ask that you please reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms. Because I am a care giver to my mother, it's necessary for me to err on the side of caution than to take a chance of me having to close my business due to contact tracing or possibly affecting my mother. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms? Have you been tested for coronavirus and are awaiting test results? If the answer is yes to any of these, please call to cancel the appointment without penalty and I'll gladly reschedule.

If you have experienced any of the following symptoms within the last 24 – 72 hours, please reschedule:

Chills or fever 100°F or above
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat

As we approach the holiday season and are thinking of those special people in our lives, you may be considering a gift certificate for yourself or someone else. I want to ensure that you have a positive experience with my business and that.you will be satisfied with your purchase, so there are a few items I want to make sure you are aware of.

It is important for you to know that I am the only therapist at Bodyworks and am now booking new clients or those without standing appointments anywhere from a month to a month and a half out. Please also check to make sure that my schedule can accommodate your needs. My hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 9 AM to approximately 6 PM (taking my last client at 5:30 PM). NO FRIDAY OR WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE.

Gift certificates are available on-line and can be printed or emailed to the recipient. If you prefer to come by the office, please call, text or email before stopping by the office to ensure that I will be available to help you with your purchase.
