This morning as the girls and I went out back for their first outing it was timed perfectly to catch the fleeting moments of a glorious orange sky as the sun lit up the clouds. It was awesomely beautiful. And brief.
Now, as I am sitting here having some quiet time with the girls, I am aware of unnamed emotions. So I simply turn my attention to those emotions. A part of me wants to name those emotions. And, yes, they are familiar emotions. There is quiet sadness sitting in the corner... and there is shy loneliness hiding in the shadows. But the one that I notice the most is the one I associate with what I call "Twilight Energy."
I find that interesting as it is now full daylight and well into morning. And then I realized it really is a "Twilight Time" right now. This entire week is!
"Twilight Time," and the accompanying "Twilight Energy" is an in between time. It is most usually and generally associated with the time of fading light and dusk as the day turns to night. It can also be in the very early morning as the dawn approaches and daylight returns.
What I realized this morning, though, is that this week is definitely an in between time. The time between the hustle and bustle and magic of Christmas, and the celebrations of New Year's Eve and Day. The time between all the things we experienced in this year that is ending, and the dawning of all the promises, hopes, and possibilities the New Year is ushering in. Yes, the turning of the page on the calendar is an arbitrary designation, but it is one all of humanity acknowledges. And that gives it power. But it is also closely associated with, and timed to nearly coincide with Nature's turning of the pages, too. The Winter Solstice, and the turning of the dial on the sunlight meter just occurred, and while Winter has just begun, with the lengthening days, comes the promise of Spring.
So we are in a week of in between time. A time in which I can recognize the "Twilight Energy" and accompanying emotions. And I am reminded that not everyone will feel festive this week or this coming Friday night and Saturday. And that's okay. Even in the non-festive feelings there can be an acknowledgement of the turning of the wheel. And a reminder that even the Twilight, and the Dawning, dissipate. Just as this morning's gorgeous sky was brief and gave way to the muted sunlight. Daylight returns... a New Year begins... Spring returns. And through it all, there is Light! The Light from the Universe and Divine Source... and our own Inner Light!
May your Innner Light illuminate your potential and open you to unlimited possibilities! May that Light illuminate your Path and Guide you along your way!
We've got this! You've got this! You are needed! You are loved!
Blessings in this "Twilight Time" and always!
Namaste! 🙏🤎
