Now offering EMDR intensive services. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Intensive services can last from 5-6 hours for two to three days allowing the patient to really focus on recovering from trauma without worrying about the clock or other constraints in traditional therapy sessions. EMDR is an effective, short term therapy for complex trauma or grief.
As an EMDR trained clinician, I have seen many patients make significant advances with this type of modality where traditional therapy was not working.
EMDR is not for everyone but it is a great therapy for a lot of people: professionals or others who do not have time to attend therapy on a regular basis, individuals who are stuck in traditional therapy and want to make a break through and then return to their regular therapist, individuals with complex trauma who are ready to embark on this healing journey.
We follow the proven phases of EMDR here but It looks a little different than in other offices. Here it is combined with healing and forgiveness work, muscle testing, guided imagery, somatic emotion release and a toolkit of coping skills.
