Combining classical technique with innovative live-looping technology, he creates lush, multi-layered soundscapes that transcend traditional genres. With performances at renowned venues like Times Square Summer Stage, World Cafe Live, and McCarter Theatre, Dan has captivated listeners across a wide range of settings, from intimate gatherings to grand stages. Dan has played at ceremonies at the New Jersey governor’s mansion, Drumthwacket, and has also toured with Judy Kang, the violinist for Lady Gaga, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. We are looking forward to him returning to us in December!

She discussed their life cycle and their needs for survival, their symbiotic relationships with the native species they have coevolved with, their relationship with their overwintering sites that help keep the population alive, and the cultural significance of the monarch in Mexico!

Yesterday, Life Enrichment Director Rachel, MI led a lifelong learning program on the renowned British sculptor and environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy. The presentation covered his personal background, education, and the inspiration behind his nature-based installations that celebrate change, time, and the natural world.

Residents were captivated as we viewed a collection of his striking works and discussed his artistic process. In the afternoon, they created their own Goldsworthy-inspired pieces using natural materials such as leaves, stones, moss, twigs, and acorns. Each creation was a thoughtful reflection of the connection between art and nature—beautiful, organic, and entirely unique. 🍂✨
While gathering materials, we even discovered a small salamander in the soil, an unexpected reminder of the living art all around us. He was safely returned to his outdoor home afterward.
