Wyatt came in for a dental the last week of November as a last ditch effort by the owner who was very discouraged and contemplating needing to put him down as his health continued to decline and he expereinced significant weight loss despite multiple vet visits, bloodwork, and not finding any underlying issues.
We discovered the cause was his inability to process feed due to the condition of his mouth!There were numerous 1-1.5" hooks throughout his mouth, which was unbalanced and causing inability to properly grind his food. We are pleased to report through a carefully monitored feed and herbal supplement program, he is happily gaining weight and feeling healthy again. We are excited to watch his progress as he begins to start building muscle by adding in movement on the AquaTread. Stay tuned for updates!

I just wanted to give my suggestions on how I'd support horses for what's going on with the EHV-1 outbreak. I work with a company called Equine Natural Care ( www.equinenaturalcare.com ) who has the best quality herbal blends out there to help support.

*For the horse who has been out traveling to events I would suggest starting with IMMUNE VIRL, for obvious reasons, 1 scoop AM & PM for the first week. Then go to once a day after that.
*If the horse is just at home and not traveling, then 1 scoop per day.
Next, I would add a 1/2 scoop of PARASITE WIPEOUT. You could do 1 scoop if you wanted, it would not hurt, I just think 1/2 scoop is sufficient. If you read about PARASITE WIPEOUT it has a lot of viral and malaria supporting herbs in the blend.

*If you think your horse has been exposed at an event or has a weakened immune system, I would start with the IMMUNE VIRL and PARASITE WIPEOUT and then be looking to add in the PAINAWAY and NEURO since this is hitting the nervous system and coming with a lot of inflammation. Also, the LIVER LYMPH AND KIDNEY, since it seems to be hitting the urinary system. Also, RECOVER HERBAL AMINOS for micronutrients and to help give the body some easy to absorb fuel. Another great support to add is the Novequin DPF Probiotics by Arthur Andrew.
Lastly, the INFECTION WIPEOUT might come into play. It can be fed with the IMMUNE VIRL in short periods of 12-14 days. If anyone has questions or needs help, please feel free to message me.
