Something Borrowed RI Based in Rhode Island | a peek into my life on a health journey and design work for luxury weddings šŸ’

At this time last year, we were in the final stages of prepping for + ’s baby shower, so this week, I’m taking you along for a closer look at everything that went into it.

Starting with a deeper behind-the-scenes look at the work behind , the printing, assembly, and mailing of their invitations. Featuring custom artwork by and double thick, letterpressed and die cut details, it’s a forever favorite.

While we had the honor of creating some details for their engagement party and wedding, nothing compared to the scale of the baby shower. It was the first time we were able to fully bring an immersive experience to life in this way and honestly, it changed so much for us and SB.

With so many eyes on the shower, being featured in , and collaborating with an incredible vendor team… it’s something I’ll forever be proud of. šŸ¤

Cocktail hour, but make it a moment šŸŠšŸŒŗāœØ

Bold sunset hues, signature sips, and just enough sparkle to set the tone for the night ahead. This is where the energy shifts, guests mingling, drinks flowing, and every detail working overtime.

Birthday spent exactly how I needed it šŸ¤

Our first day out after getting hit HARD with flu B (truly forgot what fresh air felt like šŸ˜…) and Newport delivered.

First things first: .ri for the drive then we rented a little zoom zoom from , grabbed raclette sandwiches from + a cookie butter latte (and a pizza bagel because priorities) from , and ate by the water while the kids ran around.

Playgrounds, a little shopping, and then when our ride was due back… we rented the cutest bright yellow moke from . Tell me this wouldn’t be the most fun wedding photo op or getaway car?! I’m already picturing it decked out šŸ’

We cruised around, ended the night watching the sunset over Goat Island with .

From the very first impression to the final toast, every detail of this day was rooted in something deeply personal šŸ¤

We designed a custom crest for C + K that became the thread tying everything together, first introduced in their invitations and thoughtfully carried throughout the entire celebration. From hand fans and drink stirrers to edible cocktail toppers, napkins, welcome bag tags, the champagne wall, bar details, and beyond… every touchpoint felt intentional, layered, and uniquely theirs.

It’s always the goal: to create a design language that doesn’t just look beautiful, but tells a story from beginning to end.

For the neutral lovers šŸ¤

Set against the most iconic view of the bridge, , steals the show every time. There’s something about a palette of soft, timeless tones paired with a view like this that just feels effortless in the best way.

Understated, intentional, and designed to let every detail (and that view) speak for itself. šŸ¤

We don’t say ā€œfor the detail-obsessedā€ for no reason.

This night was a little different than the weddings we’re apart of… celebrating our anniversary and rebrand with family, friends and colleagues, but still designing it the only way I know how: thoughtfully, intentionally, and yes, down to every last branded touch.

because the details aren’t extra… they’re the whole point. šŸ¤

Surrounded by the people who raised me + the people I’m raising šŸ¤

What you might not realize looking at this…is that every single person here has been part of Something Borrowed in some way.

My grandmother (in blue + white) spent her life as a florist
and still comes with me on late night pickups, she’s always been a night owl!

My grandmother (in pink) has come along to setups,
and stayed back with the kids so we can break down in the early mornings

My mom is a huge part of our stationery side - she’s behind the scenes assembling, organizing, alphabetizing every last detail.

My aunt has helped with deliveries, referred brides,
and has been one of my biggest cheerleaders from the very beginning.

and my kids… have grown up right alongside this business šŸ¤

It might look like just a family photo, but this business has truly been built on all of us.
