As Dan and I prepare to welcome a new global cohort into our Alchemical Constellations Training (ACT) in April, I find myself returning to the moments that first asked me to live fully in my gifts. These early moments shaped the entire trajectory of my life, but only because I had the courage (or audacity) to follow them.
ACT is designed to meet people at precisely this type of threshold, when a gift is ready to be claimed and embodied, or when a path is presented and you are being nudged to follow.
Sharing this story still feels tender, but if it resonates with you, it may reflect something stirring in your life. (This photo below was taken as my clairvoyance was emerging in unexplainable ways... I remember taking selfies to remind myself I'm alive. I exist. And although I see the dead, I'm not the dead. This was one of those moments.)
Several years ago, while visiting cousins, Dan and I were asked to support a family – mother, father, and sister (a friend of my cousin) – devastated by the tragic death of their nineteen-year-old daughter. As we approached their house, I saw her standing on the upstairs deck; blue-eyed, luminous, unmistakably present.
What mattered most about that moment was not the seeing, but the choice it required. Of course, no one else could see her. And yet, she met my gaze with a quiet insistence, as if asking whether I would risk my intuitive gifts being exposed in front of her straightlaced parents, in service of her desire to reconnect with her sister. Her eyes glistened in the sunlight with a striking vibrancy, her skin was a milky smooth complexion. She looked almost as real as a teenager in the flesh staring back at me; however, I could see through the transparency of her form.
As we rounded the bend and walked up her older sister’s driveway, she stepped towards us and behind her came a second woman. This one was older, from a time prior to hers. I understood then that she had not come alone. She had brought an ancestor with her.
Inside the house, we sat together and introduced ourselves as Constellation facilitators. As we dropped into representation, the presence of this young woman became visceral, a full-on embodied experience. Through me, she spoke to her sister, easing an unbearable guilt from the day she died. She guided her mother to a necklace that was previously lost. She answered a question her father had asked silently that very morning.
Near the end of this visit, just before I was about to leave, something spontaneous and playful arrived to my consciousness and sort of persisted... a dance that wouldn't stop presenting in my thoughts. I chose to trust it and allowed it to emerge even though it felt rather different from the energy of grief and trauma we were currently present in. As I opened my mouth, I burst into song, singing to her sister, “Down by the banks of the hanky-panky, where the bullfrogs jump from bank to bank-y,” dancing a small jig. Part of me squirmed with what I had just sang, but simultaneously, my eyes filled with tears and I said, “How I wish I were here with you in the flesh, singing and dancing… but always know I’m with you in spirit.”
Her sister gasped, tears streaming, then guttural sobs. “My kids and their cousins sing that song,” she said. “We just did last week. I’m so touched to know that she is here with me in that circle, that she knows my kids.”
As profound as the mediumship was to both myself and the family, the work deepened further when we turned toward the older ancestor – the second woman on the deck. She was entangled in the family’s pattern of tragic loss and prolonged grief. We stepped back a couple of generations in the Constellation to find her, to witness her, to receive what she brought. As she came to peace, the living were freed from the hold of endless mourning. When both presences felt seen and therefore moved on, the parents and sister described a tangible relief in their bodies, as if the weight of generations had finally lifted.
Reflecting on that day, I can see how it shaped the design and evolution of our Alchemical Constellations Training. We invite others to move outside of their comfort zones, to risk belonging to themselves and their professional conditioning, and develop the courage to fully embody their innate gifts while collaborating with a multidimensional field of consciousness sourcing healing and connection. This is our signature year-long program - it’s both a professional path to certification as a facilitator, and a journey of deep intuitive development, in the supportive presence of community.
Together with Dan and our Alchemy Leadership Team, we guide participants to expand their perception and work with it ethically and skillfully.
Maybe you recognize yourself in this story? Outwardly capable, grounded, and skilled, but inwardly, you carry ways of knowing that don’t fit into what is considered ‘normal’ or professionally acceptable. You may see, hear, or sense beyond the visible. You may feel ancestors, spirit animals, or unseen intelligences moving with you. We are living through a time when generational traumas are surfacing and being acted out before our eyes. The patterns of war, enslavement, and extraction that plague humanity did not begin in this generation. That urgency you feel is that the work of freeing trauma and freeing ancestors is no longer abstract - it is one of the best ways to interrupt what keeps repeating.
And still, as we bring what is nudging us forward, the fear we experience is real. Fear of being misunderstood. Fear of being labeled unprofessional, unstable, or “too much” Fear shaped not only by contemporary skepticism, but by ancestral memory. We hear the cries of those who were persecuted, silenced, or dismissed for being deeply embodied and deeply intuitive.
People come to Seeing with Your Heart when they can no longer bear these limitations. After years of inner work, you have learned to cope, to manage, to understand. And still, you feel boxed-in by patterns and loyalties you never chose.
Our Alchemical Constellations Training is a year-long immersion designed for this moment. It is for those who are ready to meet the ancestral and spirit presences that live beneath habit and identity and work with them directly. Over twelve months, you’ll enter a field where the pulse and rhythm of your body can harmonize with the timeless possibilities of your soul. Here you’ll be seen, felt, and transformed to allow what is most essential to take center stage.
This training is deeply personal, but also professionally rigorous. Dan Cohen trained directly with Bert Hellinger and the leaders of the first generation of Family Constellations facilitators in the early 2000s. Since he and I co-founded Seeing with Your Heart in 2013, it has grown from a two-person practice into one of the leading global Constellation training organizations.
Together, we teach the foundations of the work with clarity and actualize the potential of its evolution through the accomplishments of our graduates.
