Cacao isn’t candy.
It’s one of the most misunderstood plant foods on the planet.

For thousands of years, cacao was used as a functional, ceremonial, heart-opening food — not a sugar delivery system.

Modern chocolate changed cacao.
But cacao itself never changed.

Here’s the truth ⤵️

Most “chocolate” today is:
• Highly processed
• Loaded with sugar
• Stripped of minerals & polyphenols

It spikes energy, crashes mood, and trains your nervous system to crave—not regulate.

Pure ceremonial cacao is different.

When cacao is minimally processed and enjoyed without refined sugar, it is:

🔥Rich in magnesium for nervous system support
🔥Packed with polyphenols that support blood flow & brain health
🔥Naturally supportive of serotonin & dopamine pathways

This is cacao as food, not candy.

Ceremonial cacao isn’t a stimulant like coffee.

Instead, it works subtly:
• Calm energy
• Mental clarity
• Emotional openness
• Heart-centered focus

Especially powerful during stress, creative work, or hormonal shifts.

This is a relationship — not a quick fix.

How to enjoy cacao simply:

☕ Calming Cacao Elixir
• 2 tbsp ceremonial cacao
• 1 cup hot water or milk of choice
• Maple syrup or honey to taste
• Pinch of sea salt
• Optional: pinch of cayenne

Whisk or blend.
Sip slowly.
Drink with intention.

Have you caught the cacao bug ?

What you need to know about Ceremonial Cacao (dark chocolate) and its genus name, THEOBROMA CACAO👇👇👇

1. Theobromine found in dark chocolate can help you age better

In 2025, researchers at Kings College London found that a natural ingredient in dark chocolate called theobromine is associated with signs of biological youth meaning people with higher levels of it in their blood looked younger on molecular measures than their actual age.

Biological age reflects how well a person’s body is functioning rather than the number of years they have lived. This measure is based on DNA methylation, a collection of tiny chemical tags on DNA that shift as we grow older.

2. The genus name for Cacao is Theobroma Cacao given by Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus in 1753. Translated from Greek, theobroma literally means food of the gods. This is one of the most revealing scientific names in botany. Linneus intentionally elevated Cacao by placing it in a genus that implies sacred nourishment, not just agriculture.

Isn’t it interesting how modern science often seems to validate what the ancients knew based on their usage and cultural context of cacao

WHY OUR BRAND EXISTS 👇👇👇

What needs to change: People deserve to know and experience the real health benefits of pure, minimally, processed chocolate, or cacao, which differs greatly from conventional chocolate which is more processed (it has no healthy fats, and is exposed to high heat or chemicals like alkali)

When I first discovered pure cacao in 2011, I thought everyone should know about this kind of cacao, Not the traditional candy bars or processed hot chocolate powders.

My introduction to cacao was untraditional. This was ‘ceremonial cacao’ like how the ancients had it. Pure. Minimally Processed. Made with Traditional methods. A food & medicine for the heart. A sort of external permission slip to drop into the heart space.

The big gap I saw was that people simply didn’t know that this kind of cacao is available, so I made it my mission to tell everyone.

Over the years, I’ve introduced thousands of people to pure cacao simply because pure cacao is better than processed chocolate.

Fun Historical Fact about CACAO

Did you know that the ancients believed that a cup of foamy cacao was a sign of a well-made cup of ceremonial Cacao?

They called this foam on top “yom”

The ancients used to pour Cacao from a higher platform into a lower vessel to catch it, and this pouring creates more oxygen and bubbles in the drink. This was a sign of a well-made cup of ceremonial cacao.

Can cacao support longevity? 🍫🧬

Cacao has long been associated with heart health, circulation, and mood. What’s interesting is that science is now beginning to explore how specific cacao compounds — such as theobromine and flavanols, may relate to biological aging markers, inflammation, and metabolic resilience.

This doesn’t mean cacao is a longevity shortcut. Most findings are observational or mechanistic, and processing plays a significant role in whether these compounds remain intact. Many commercial chocolates lose much of their beneficial properties through high heat, alkalization, and added sugars.

This is why ceremonial cacao, in its pure and minimally processed form, matters. It retains its natural cacao butter, flavanols, and theobromine, closer to how cacao was traditionally consumed for strength, vitality, and long-term resilience. When sourced ethically, it also supports regenerative farming practices and the communities who have cultivated and protected this plant for generations.

For me, cacao is about more than personal well-being. It’s a plant that nourishes the heart, supports circulation, and invites a slower, more connected way of living, one that considers not only our own longevity, but the longevity of the land and cultures that sustain it.
