💔 The Grief Belt: When Ending an Adult Friendship Hurts

As adults, we don’t talk enough about the grief that comes when we decide to end a friendship.

Sometimes you know it’s the healthiest choice — yet it still leaves a deep ache.

This is what I call the grief belt — the emotional space where we carry both clarity and loss.

You might feel:
✨ Relief mixed with sadness
✨ Guilt for setting boundaries
✨ Confusion about missing someone who’s still alive

Grief doesn’t just follow death — it follows change.
It’s okay to mourn the friendship, the memories, and even the version of yourself that existed in that relationship.

You’re not “too sensitive” for missing someone you had to let go of. You’re human. 💫
