Congratulations again to all the nominees and Award recipients! And Thank you to All PSS for the heart-work you do everyday!
We hope this will be an annual event. Here is our process so everyone is aware:
1) We put out a call for nominations for the Awards different categories. Anyone is welcome to make a nomination for a PSS working in NC via our on-line questionnaire. **VOICE/ NC HOPE staff are not eligible to receive an award.**

2) Based on what is written in the nomination, our internal team selects 3- 4 top finalist in each category, who most exemplify the award category.

3) We reach out to each finalist to answer a few questions to allow them to speak for themselves and strengthen their nomination.

4) A team of independent judges make the final selections; Each judge receives the original nominations and the finalist responses with names and identifying information removed. Each judge casts their vote independently the person with the most votes is the winner.

Exceptions
1)The Peer Choice Award winner is chosen by popular vote via an on-line poll

2)This year NC HOPE chose two people to receive special recognition Mr. Ron Mangum and our very own Mr. Elliot Palmer. Special recognition is the sole decision of NC HOPE.
