Not all IOP is built the same.

One of the most common questions we get from referral partners is:
“Why 12 hours?”

Most programs run 20+ hours a week.
We made a different call.

This FAQ series breaks down how structure, sustainability, and real-life accountability intersect in our model.

If you’re referring clients in the St. Paul area and want clarity on fit, expectations, and outcomes — this series is for you.

More straight answers coming.

When group feels like yours, you show up differently.

Not because you have to.
Because you want to.

At Pathfinder Care, group isn’t about checking a box. It’s about being asked, “What do you want from this?” and being supported while you figure it out.

12 hours a week. Real ownership. Real recovery.

We’re here in Saint Paul.

Peer support didn’t start with programs.
It started with people taking care of each other.

For generations, Black communities have relied on mutual aid, shared experience, and collective care to support healing and recovery, especially when help wasn’t easy to find.

This Black History Month, we honor that history and the Black leaders, peers, and communities who continue to shape what recovery looks like today.

Meet Robert, one of the clinicians behind the care at Pathfinder Care.

Robert believes recovery starts with being treated like a human first. He meets people where they are, honors their story, and focuses on creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported.

Before becoming an LADC, Robert spent years in corporate work. That experience now shapes his thoughtful, organized, and steady approach to care, helping clients build changes that last.

We’re grateful to have him on our team.

Wondering what starting IOP actually looks like?

Here’s what to expect at Pathfinder Care:

1️⃣ Reach out. A real conversation, no pressure.
2️⃣ Meet your team. We take time to understand what you need.
3️⃣ Join care that fits real life. 12 hours a week of group and individual support, not the typical 20.
4️⃣ Stay connected. Support doesn’t stop when group ends.

Recovery doesn’t have to be confusing or overwhelming. It just has to be human.

If Dry January has you feeling clearer, calmer… and somehow still a little spicy, you’re not alone. Sobriety does not erase your personality. It just gives you more room to choose what you do with it.

Progress can look like boundaries, better mornings, and yes, a little side-eye when it’s earned.

What’s your funniest “sober but still me” moment lately?

At Pathfinder Care, you’re not a number. You’re the reason we’re here.

Our groups are built around what you want from this season of recovery and what will actually help you keep moving forward, with people who get it. 💙

Like, who gave me this much time and mental clarity?

If you’re doing Dry January (or just trying to stack a few sober days), here’s your reminder:
progress can look like anything, from deep healing to finally answering that one email you’ve avoided since November.

And if this month is feeling heavy, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re doing something hard.

What’s one tiny win you’re proud of this week? 👇

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Recovery takes community. It takes support that respects who you are and what you carry. It also takes spaces where people are met with dignity and care.

We are proud to serve the recovery community and to keep building pathways to support, connection, and stability.
