Crystal Pawlus is a mother of three, wife, and nature lover. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years before the birth of her first child. Postpartum was challenging as she lacked support, so she became a postpartum doula and motherhood coach to support mothers to offer the support she wished she had back then. She teaches newborn & postpartum classes at Apple Tree Midwifery & Birth Center, is a board member for Black Hills Birth Network and & owner of Beyond the Bump and is Babywearing Educator.
At Beyond the Bump, she offers babywearing classes and individual consultations to help you find the perfect carrier(s) for your family, safely wear and above all else feel comfortable while caring for your child. She has a lending library where you can try before you buy, renting out carriers to ensure they will be a good fit for your family.
She also offers prenatal classes to help you feel more confident and prepared for life beyond the bump. Topics discussed include: newborn care, breastfeeding, postpartum care of mother, how non-birthing partner can support, how to prepare for postpartum, and babywearing.
Crystal loves to be outdoors as much as possible and is enjoying returning back to the Black Hills after several years away. She can be found sharing her love for the outdoors with her kids, hiking, biking, exploring this beautiful area or embroidering.
