Leawood, meet your newest OT 👋

We’re excited to welcome Patrick Gaffney, OTD, OTR/L to our Leawood clinic!

A Leawood native, Patrick earned his B.S. in Exercise Science from Creighton University before completing his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2024. After launching his career in Boulder, Colorado where he treated everyone from high-level outdoor athletes to everyday active adults, Patrick discovered a passion for hand therapy and upper extremity rehab.

From shoulder to fingertip, Patrick is passionate about helping patients return to the hobbies, sports, and daily activities that matter most. He believes strong outcomes start with strong relationships and takes a collaborative, one-on-one approach with every patient.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find him cheering on the Chiefs & Royals, exploring the outdoors, or checking another MLB stadium off his list (19 down, 11 to go ⚾️).

Our FIT Ambassadors Lindsey + Brenna went to Phoenix and showed out at HYROX, finishing Top 3 in Women’s Doubles (Age Group) with a blazing time of 1:08:01 💪🔥

That podium finish earned them a coveted HYROX flag, which is officially heading back home to District 1 Athletics 🏆

🚨 New Provider Spotlight 🚨
Say hey to Spencer Allacher, DC, our newest chiropractor at the Raymore location! 👋

Originally from Topeka, KS, Spencer grew up playing sports and found his stride in soccer and swimming. He earned his undergraduate degree at Emporia State University, where his passion for movement, how the body functions, and teaching really took off, eventually leading him to Cleveland University–KC and a career in chiropractic care.

Spencer loves helping active individuals understand their pain, recover from injuries, and get back to doing what they love with the knowledge and tools to prevent future issues along the way. Education is a big part of his approach, because he believes patients should feel confident and in control of their health. 💪

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Spencer staying active, watching sports (Liverpool or the Chiefs), planning his next Colorado snowboarding trip, or hanging out with his fiancé Brooke and their two dogs, Chief & Indy 🐾

Last Friday, our entire FIT team came together for our annual Town Hall for some time to reflect, celebrate, and align for what’s ahead.

From celebrating the wins of 2025 to reinforcing our vision, values, and people-first culture, this was a powerful reminder that what makes FIT special isn’t just our growth, it’s our incredible team.

With 11 locations strong and an incredible group of clinicians, leaders, and support staff, we’re building something bigger than ourselves. The future of FIT is bright, and it’s built by the team around us.

Battle of the Brave 10 - The Final Battle

Two days. Countless lifts. One incredible community. 💪🔥

We were proud to sponsor Battle of the Brave 10: The Final Battle at Brave Enough CrossFit and support athletes all weekend long with our recovery tent on Friday and Saturday.

From soft tissue therapy and scraping to taping and hands-on recovery work, our team was there helping competitors stay moving, recover smarter, and keep showing up for every event.

This weekend was everything we love about the CrossFit community: grit, support, and people pushing themselves alongside teammates who have their backs.

Field Notes like this are our way of highlighting where we’re showing up, who we’re supporting, and how we’re helping athletes perform and recover at their best on and off the competition floor.

Huge shoutout to Brave Enough CrossFit and every athlete who left it all out there. 🏋️‍♂️

🚨 Meet the Team 🚨

Please help us welcome Aaron Martin, DPT to the F.I.T. Fam at our Shawnee location! 👋

Originally from Eagan, Minnesota, Aaron took an unconventional path into physical therapy by spending years competing in drum corps across the DCI, DCA, and WGI circuits before earning his degree in kinesiology from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Along the way, he also dove into Olympic lifting and powerlifting, blending movement, performance, and strength.

Aaron pursued physical therapy to combine his passion for kinesiology with a genuine desire to serve others. With a background in drum corps, personal training, and heavy lifting, he brings current, evidence-based practices to help patients move better, feel stronger, and achieve lasting results.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him lifting heavy at , golfing, checking out local breweries, or spending time with his wife, cats, and dog.
