It's Monday!

Today we honor Nikita Anderson! Nikita is a Cincinnati native and mother of four soon to be five! She is dedicated to the advancement of black people not only in her community of Avondale but throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. She's the Director of Organizing for Cohear and also the co-founder of 381, a local initiative to end social and racial injustices through innovative and creative protests and events.

Nakita serves on the Avondale Community Council, Cincinnati Promise Forward and several other boards. She's a member of the Cincinnati Branch NAACP and is very committed to increasing civic engagement of the most vulnerable and unheard citizens throughout the city. Nikita has been known to be a little C.R.A.Z.Y (creative, radical, ambitious, zealous, and youthful and yappy) depending on the day! She knows all about starting at the bottom and carving out your own space no matter the odds. She's a constant example of overcoming hardships, staying determined no matter how long it takes to achieve a goal and being flexible when life throws curve balls!

" I ain't always been where I am. Never be afraid to take a different route from everyone else. There's always another way get to the same place. Especially when people say you can't get there!" - Nikita

Why do you love Black Women?
Nikita loves Black women because they never fall short of finding ways to get what we need. They're persistent and resilient. Just plain magical!
