Dr. Pinocchio has had a passion for infants and children since she was a child herself. Fortunately, this passion has developed into a lifelong career. Dr. Pinocchio received a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Her doctoral work was specific to early intervention, providing occupational therapy services in the home setting to children age newborn to three years old, resulting in specialized knowledge and experience. Dr. Pinocchio holds the following certifications: DIR Floortime, USC Chan Sensory Integration, and Yoga for the Special Child. Her continued education includes the following: Handwriting Without Tears, AEIOU Approach to Feeding, and DIR Approach to Feeding. Dr. Pinocchio works full time in the field of early intervention, spending over thirty hours per week in the homes of families throughout Southern California. She also works as a contributing faculty member at the University of St. Augustine where she fulfills her passion for teaching and guiding future occupational therapists. As a clinician, her values are expressed throughout her every therapy session. Dr. Pinocchio emphasizes family-centered care, understanding, individualized treatment, and a holistic approach when providing occupational therapy services.
