Swift Institute out in the Community! ✨

Jacob Wright, one of our incredible hand therapists, was invited by the UNR Physical Therapy Club to share insight into occupational therapy, specifically hand therapy.

Jacob spoke with the group about the patient populations we treat, orthotic fabrication, and the unique skill set required to become a hand therapist. He also discussed the application process for post-graduate programs, such as PT and OT, and how future therapists can continue to shape and elevate therapy services in the outpatient setting.

It was a wonderful evening connecting with the next generation of therapists. Thank you for having us!

On Wednesdays, We Wear Swift Pink 💕

Our Rancharrah PT crew crushed wearing pink, as usual, and they’re already in the Valentine’s Day spirit. When you stop by this location, you’ll see all the Valentine’s Day décor—so of course we had to put the props to good use with the big day just around the corner. They were great sports, and we couldn’t stop laughing when they saw the hearts we passed out!

Friday was all about Super Bowl spirt in the clinics! 🏈 Many of our team members showed up repping their favorite teams, whether they made it to the big game or not. We spotted a few Seahawks fans proudly rocking their jerseys, but let’s be honest…the Niners fans definitely stood out! ❤️💛 We’ve got a lot of 49er faithful around here, along with plenty of Cowboys fans too!

Thanks to everyone who dressed up and helped make it such a fun day as we geared up for the big game. We’ll also share that the Seahawks fans who did show up in their jerseys have been very happy this week! 💙💚

We kicked off the new year with our quarterly Provider In-Service Meeting! 🎉

This time, we switched things up and hosted it at Hyatt Place Reno, what a beautiful space! The conference room was stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to help make the evening a success.

We were grateful to learn from four incredible speakers:
✨ Dr. Gyorfi, one of our newest pain management providers, who presented on Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) Stimulation
✨ Lindsey Wharton, APRN, from Northern Nevada Health System, who shared insights on keeping cases on track through APRN-led Pre-Admission Testing
✨ Alvin Santiago and Josh Prizina from the Swift Performance Institute, who spoke all things fitness, sharing their training approach, culture, and future goals for SPI

A big thank you to Elixir Superfood & Juice for providing our staff with a delicious make-your-own bowl experience—it was a hit—and to Hyatt Place South Reno for hosting us and helping make the night run seamlessly.

Swift Institute Out in the community! 🌟

Lorenzo Bayuga, PA, and Marcy Echevarria, Physician Liaison, spent time engaging with the Gardnerville/Minden community to provide education on available treatment options for hand injuries.

During these interactions, they shared exciting updates about our new standalone MRI at the SWIFT Mica Drive location, bringing faster access to imaging and seamless connections to specialty providers across all SWIFT locations.
