Swift Institute had the opportunity to be a part of this incredible event hosted by WMA, and we are grateful to have joined in celebrating and supporting such meaningful causes. 💙

We had the best time visiting the different vendor booths and supporting local businesses—what better time than right before the holidays?

During the luncheon, we also had the chance to watch a heartfelt video and learn more about CampCare Nevada. Several campers were there in person to share their favorite parts of camp. Many have been attending for years, and the unanimous fan favorites were the music, dancing, and of course… the dogs! 🐾💛

Thank you, WMA, for hosting such an amazing event. We love supporting local, and it was a wonderful morning spent together. ✨

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on two of our amazing Vein MAs: Mason (left) and Ashlyn (right)!

Here’s what Dr. Ahmad and his lead, Kira, had to say about these two:

✨ Mason
Say hello to Mason, one of the newest members of our incredible Medical Assistant team! She’s quickly jumped right in, assisting with procedures alongside Dr. Ahmad. Mason’s positive attitude and eagerness to learn make her a perfect fit for the team.

When she’s not in clinic, Mason loves exploring local coffee shops, hiking new trails, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. And of course, spending time with her adorable cat, Odi! 🐾

✨ Ashlyn
Meet Ashlyn — one of our amazing MAs who brings energy, dedication, and heart to everything she does. She’s been part of our team for 3 years, starting as a scheduler before moving into her role as a Medical Assistant. Now she assists with procedures alongside Dr. Ahmad, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all she does!

Outside of work, you can find Ashlyn hiking with her dog or horseback riding (even though she’s allergic — talk about dedication! 🐴).

We’re so lucky to have these two as part of our Swift family. They brighten every day with their positivity and teamwork! 💗

Join us in welcoming Melissa Preece, PT, DPT, to the Swift Institute! 👏

Melissa brings extensive orthopedic experience and a strong passion for helping patients achieve meaningful, long-term recovery. A Northern Nevada native, she always knew she wanted to build her physical therapy career in Reno—and we’re thrilled to have her expertise here at Swift.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences in 2013 before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2017. In 2019, Melissa further advanced her training through an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with Evidence in Motion, deepening her specialization in orthopedic care.

Melissa is certified in a wide range of advanced treatment techniques, including Trigger Point Dry Needling, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Decompression (cupping), Kinesiotaping, TMJ treatment, and Myofascial Manipulation. Her patient-centered approach blends hands-on manual therapy with personalized exercise programs to support each patient’s goals and long-term success.

Outside the clinic, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends. She stays active through hiking, camping, and soccer, and also enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time with her child and dog.

We’re proud supporters of the High Fives Foundation and thrilled to have been part of such an inspiring event! 💙

The M. Scott Roberds Memorial Tournament, hosted at Gray’s Crossing Golf Course, brought together athletes, community members, and supporters for a day full of camaraderie and giving back. The event raised nearly $140,000 to support High Fives programs, helping athletes overcome challenges and empowering their families along the way. 🏌️‍♂️✨

It’s events like these that remind us how powerful community support can be—and we’re honored to play a role in making a difference in the lives of these incredible athletes.

"Only one word is needed to describe Jordyn… ROCKSTAR!! She’s my right-hand gal, always two steps ahead and making sure the clinic flows effortlessly. Patients adore her—they love her kindness and how quickly she follows up. She’s 100% dedicated when she’s here, and when she’s off, she enjoys time with her family and her dog. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and long holiday weekend spent with family and friends! 🧡

To wrap up November, our monthly theme day was Pajama Day—and it was a huge hit throughout the clinics! Many team members showed up in their favorite PJs, slippers, and robes. We even had a few “twins” across the clinics—so fun to see coordinated pajama sets! We also spotted a Swift scarf making an appearance on what turned out to be a chilly day.

The PT clinics had a blast as always, getting creative, and using PT equipment as props for their photos!

A special shoutout to our Vein team for creating and displaying festive Pajama Day flyers throughout the clinic—it was such a fun touch, and a great surprise to see when walking in!
