Shay Frago I simplify menstrual & fertility health with a holistic approach for cyclical living

My life was turned upside down at age 27. Imagine being fresh out of a breakup and being told you may never be able to have kids while still figuring out your own life….

The modern day woman lives in a pressure cooker. Don’t be too much this or that. Choose between career or motherhood. Choose between being soft or fierce. Rush to find a husband by the time you’re 30 because your body will fail you the longer you wait etc etc. (tell me in the comments what else plagues your mind)

Like what? Hard no.

I used to think that the closer we got to age 30 the worst it got for us. Truth is we can age like FINE wine!

✔️ True: you enter perimenopause around age 35

🤦🏽‍♀️ Myth: after age 35 it’s not a good idea to get pregnant because you are to have a high risk pregnancy

✔️ True: your hormones need the proper nutrition and lifestyle support to slow down your hormonal aging so that you can prolong your fertile years and decide what is best for you to enter your motherhood era

❌ No more rushing to find a partner for the wrong reason.

❌ No more fear mongering your body is a failure the older you get.

❌ No more PMS.

If you’re ready to ditch the overwhelm of what it means to be a woman in this modern day world and learn a simplified approach to your hormones - then you’re in the right place.

My guidelines when it comes to hormone support in the mornings versus night!

📌 but first be sure to save this for later

MORNING 🌞
• get sunshine as soon as you can for 5-10 minutes when you wake up & if you have a schedule that is before the sun gets up invest in a happy light that mimics sunshine before you do blue lights. This is HUGE for circadian rhythm and sleep hormones which impact your female hormones
• eat breakfast within 30-60 minutes of waking up, sooner the better because this supports blood sugar regulation which impacts your hormones and energy
• some sort of practice in the morning that helps you feel good for the rest of the day. Some mornings it’s journaling for me others it’s reading or a walk or good podcast. Choice is yours, just be sure to do it as often as you can! This is supportive for your overall stress levels and mood. Both of which impact your long term hormonal health and aging

EVENINGS 🌙
• Magnesium is a KEY supplement for us. It’s helpful for sleep and nervous system regulation! is my go to. Link in bio to save $$$
• I turn off blue light and switch to red light an hour and half before bed to calm my body and help me wind down + it’s better for us and I do some light movement and breathing
• turn my phone off at 9 PM & set it far away from my bed, signals to my brain + system it’s time to turn off for the day

How you set yourself up for success when it comes to your hormones and overall life is found in your habits and routines. Try even one of these things consistently for the next 5 days and tell me how it goes! Which one are you going to do?

Here’s to aging like fine wine & supporting your long term health 🫶🏽✨

I was 27 years old when I found out I was at 20% risk for cervical cancer after dealing with an HPV diagnosis on/off for 5 years.

My options: risk cancer or remove my c*rvix

If I did the latter that also meant never being able to have my own kids because with this surgery meant I’d lose my ability to carry to term.

😤 WTF? I remember leaving that doctor’s appointment lost & confused. Asking things like why is this happening? I had just ended a 6 year relationship and was heartbroken. I was in a city that I didn’t love but didn’t hate and barely had community. I was living paycheck to paycheck crying on the bottom floor of that hospital parking lot.

I remember being so frustrated and sad with my body. Why wasn’t it healing like the doctors said would happen with this diagnosis?

I did not like my options. Western medicine imo fails women more often than not and it’s not their fault. They aren’t taught what I’ve learned.

I remember thinking - no this is not how my story goes. My intuition spoke to me loud and clear. Say no to the surgery, find another way.

The version of me back then was on birth control with no period. Ate half decent, was on the paleo trend. Worked out. Mentally not well. Emotionally half numb.

🫶🏽 2.5 years later my hpv went dormant no longer showing up in my tests. My c*rvix healed from the previous procedure, my OB was like it doesn’t even look like we did anything, healthy, this is great! I was happier with who I was and how I was living. I felt lighter. I glowed. People saw it. People felt it. I made new friends and was truly living the best life. I honestly never knew it could feel that good.
