There’s something special about walking into a workspace that feels like you—a place shaped not just by décor, but by the love and thoughtfulness of the people who fill your life. Lately, I’ve been surrounded by little gifts from friends and loved ones in my office, and each one has quietly transformed the room into a warm, inspiring corner where ideas flow a little easier.

These aren’t just objects. They’re reminders—tiny anchors of connection, encouragement, and joy. A mug that carries a memory, a plant that brightens the morning light, a notebook that practically invites new ideas to spill across its pages. Every piece adds a layer of comfort and creativity, turning my workspace into a sanctuary for brainstorming, dreaming, and writing.

What I love most is knowing that these gifts came from people who see me, support me, and want to add something beautiful to my day. Their kindness lingers in the air, nudging me forward when I’m searching for the right words or the next spark of inspiration.

It’s amazing how a few thoughtful touches can shift the energy of a room—and even more amazing how the people behind them can shift the energy of your life. Here’s to the friends and loved ones who make our spaces brighter and our creative spirits braver.

Oh the things that make you laugh. Grabbed some food today, and had to pull in to a spot to wait for it to be brought out because it was being prepared fresh. It was taking a little longer than I expected, and finally I see the worker heading towards my vehicle without any bag. I let out a deep sigh as I rolled down my window.

Me: This is taking a little longer than the five minutes they said.

Worker: What did you order Shorty?

Me: Just looking back at him.

Worker: Had a stunned expression, and looked embarrassed that those words had slipped out. He rambled stating how chaotic things were inside. I kept my face straight, and didn't blink.
"Don't tell my boss maam.," he said looking regretful.
Repeating my order, I watched as he ran back to grab my bag, returning quickly and handing it to me.

Me: Thanks Shorty! We both shared a laugh. As I watched him head back towards the building, I let out the smile I had been hiding.

The little things that make me smile at times.
