Winter Solstice Reflection

Today marks the Winter Solstice which is the longest night of the year and the quiet turning point back toward the light.

It’s the season of honoring what has been held in the dark because growth doesn’t always look loud or visible. Sometimes it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself. Sometimes it looks like surviving what no one else saw.

Scientifically, the solstice signals a shift. Each day from here carries a little more light.

Spiritually, it reminds us that darkness is not failure; it is preparation.

in stillness,
in self-trust,
in the gentle decision to believe that your light is returning.

As we continue to work on ourselves I'd like to remind us of the importance of choosing actions that support our journey.

Compassion: doesn’t make you weak. It makes you wise.

I’m learning to offer myself the same compassion I freely give others. In turn sciencebsays self-compassion lowers cortisol and increases resilience. I will give myself grace and I will grow stronger for it.
