Join Dr. Rose Parker, being honored at the 22nd Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast with a Civil Rights Award, and for being Pardoned. Dr. Rose has done major things behind the scenes, and has made history several times. First and foremost at the 1st Person, Woman and African American to be released under Fr. Gov. Gray Davis Administration.
Laws were also implemented to allow other Battered Women to have the Domestic Violence added in the Parole Board Hearings.
Dr. Rose also challenged the CDCR Parole Div. to follow the Law (Penal Code) in releasing those lifers warranted, who completed their parole requirements successfully, to be release OFF parole supervision, and the Uncommom Law was birthed with Keith Watley in 2006.
Dr. Rose Parker January continuously and tirelessly brought the news and others into the institutions to show that those she left behind were just as strong, and would be successful contributing members of society.
