If “creativity is intelligence having fun” ~Albert Einstein. This painting is a party, and intelligence in it’s highest form. Just lovely!!! And one of my favorites!!!

One week from today, “The White Flower with a Bee”, can be seen in person at the American University Museum. This work has it all, texture, detail, and technique. The White Flower with a Bee transports you directly to the moment the artist captured this beautiful moment of a bee captivated by the bounty of a gorgeous white flower.

Oil Pastel-MANZANAS (2002)(30.75"X 45") is one of the first painting the artist (Franklin White) franklin.white.artist, created in the early 2000’s. The artist suggests that while living in Merida, Venezuela, he quickly learned that these little gems, were at times, hard to acquire regularly; so he couldn’t help but to capture their abundance in a barrel!! ~Franklin White

Over the past few years, I'd been thinking of ways to honor my favorite uncle, Franklin White (franklin.white.artist). I am so thankful for the opportunity to curate his exhibition, and for the invitation to participate with him in such an up-close and personal way. On September 9, 2023, 6-9pm he will share intimate details about his personal and professional evolution. He will also reveal how twenty-years of simplistic appreciation for the beautiful things he found in a small Venezuelan municipality, birthed a series of 25 larger than life paintings. I celebrate you Uncle Frankie! My living legend! Thank you for showing us how a purpose driven life can bring forth happiness, creativity, and longevity.
