Money conversations can be some of the hardest we have as parents. Not because we don’t care, but because most of us learned about money long before we ever had kids of our own. 💬💵
As I look at this picture of our family from almost nine years ago, back when our girls were learning to count and figuring out place value, I’m reminded that we were already laying financial foundations… even when they were too young to understand the “why.”
And now, seeing them as high schoolers, we can clearly trace the fruit of those early conversations, the boundaries we practiced, and the values we modeled.
But hear me clearly…
It’s never too late to start this journey.
Your kids don’t need you to be perfect. They just need you to be present, honest, and willing to grow with them.
Maybe you’ve noticed moments where you spend to soften the tension, avoid saying “no” to keep the peace, or feel guilty when the budget and the requests don’t match. These are real experiences… and you are not alone.
That’s why we’re creating space for Parenting On Purpose: Money Talks, a workshop designed to help families build healthier, more intentional money habits together.
We’ll explore how to set financial boundaries with love, shift old patterns, and model money confidence for our children. Because raising financially aware families doesn’t start with the numbers, it starts with the conversations. 🌿
We’re also honored to welcome Kerwyn Phillip, author of Malik’s First Job, who will share practical tools teens and adults can use immediately.
