Getting reflective, inspired and always moving forward. What a wonderful time to hear from other people and see success stories of female entrepreneurs who are killing it in pelvic health and bringing real healthcare to their patients.

Try therapy first! We had a client recently say, "they told me I needed surgery postpartum for the separation at my abs. I'm so glad I did the work myself and didn't have to go through that."

Sometimes surgery is necessary for emergency problems but not all surgeries are necessary or designed to fix the root of the problem. If you are hesitant about surgery, you often have other options that might fit your health philosophy or lifestyle more appropriately. For those nagging symptoms that are not always urgent or life threatening, you can consider a holistic conservative approach first that finds the root of the problem. You have nothing to lose by trying to resolve your symptoms, teach your body to move better, and restore your nervous system.

DID YOU KNOW?
🧐With pelvic organ prolapse, you are not really even a candidate for surgery until it advances to a grade 3. Anything less severe is often manageable once you learn good strategies. Prolapse has been shown in research to improve an entire grade with pelvic floor therapy.

🧐According to research, back pain doesn't have a mechanical origin, meaning the root is often emotional, psychological or behavioral, and then mechanical symptoms follow. Back pain is often a symptom of stress in the body, trauma and improper muscle balance and use. Inherently, this means that surgery to fix the problem is almost never going to actually fix it in the way that you want.

🧐Surgical repair of diastasis recti does not fix the underlying muscle dysfunction and will not provide you with muscular support for your spine or pelvic girdle. Fix the muscle activation first and you will feel better and may not need the surgery. Or, you can have a more minor procedure to remove any remaining loose skin.

Obviously, the longer sypmtoms linger and get left untreated, the more they snowball and take longer to fix. However, its not impossible.

We have knowledge and skills to help you avoid major elective surgeries and to teach you how to move and live better. Reach out and let us know how we can help!

Pro Tip: Therapy BEFORE (and after) Prostatectomy, Hysterectomy, C-section, are recommended for best results. And, you should receive a second opinion if a hysterectomy is recommended for endometriosis, prolapse or pelvic pain.

Do you have a new year resolution? Are you participating in dry January? Have you stopped to think about what behaviors actually impact you everyday that are actually in your power to change?

Urinary leakage is common but you don’t have to live with it. So any people in our culture normalize it so lots of women think it’s normal. IT IS NOT NORMAL.

We’re here to help you get rid of the pads, liners and absorbent un**es forever. Pelvic floor therapy is a first line treatment for this. Do yourself a favor and get dry!!!

We are a Pelvic Floor Physical/Occupational Therapy clinic, of course! What does that even mean? Well, a lot actually.....

We specialize in treating conditions that manifest in your trunk and pelvic region which might include digestion, s3x, pregnancy/childbirth, periods, bowel or bladder, weakness, or pain in your back, hips, ge****ls and more. However, we are not your average pelvic floor clinic that treats just your diagnosis.

We help people find answers, we don't treat you like you are a diagnosis. We uniquely specialize in taking a full-body approach and finding the underlying "Why?" to your symptoms. If your insurance is more important than resolving your problem, you may not be getting this with other providers. Your whole body is a complex machine that needs to work together. If we only looked at your pelvis, you would probably only get 60-70% better. Here you get 1:1 care and a plan of care specifically designed for you and your needs!

If you haven't been listened to or taken seriously, we are here to change that! Our therapists will listen, validate and help you overcome your symptoms! If you want something more than average, we are here to work thoroughly to help you find solutions.

Our team recently had the privilege of participating in a specialized pilates session led by Miriam Bonano from .pilates. Miriam provided valuable insights into her distinctive teaching methodology and comprehensive approach to pilates instruction.

Pilates offers exceptional benefits for core strengthening and works synergistically with pelvic floor rehabilitation—making it an ideal complement to our therapeutic services. The integration of pilates into a wellness routine can provide numerous therapeutic advantages, including improved postural alignment, enhanced muscular stability, and increased functional mobility. Its great once you have completed pelvic floor therapy to use pilates to manage your back pain, pelvic pain, prolapse or other condition.

We believe its important to find strategies that work best for you in your life and also learn from our local colleagues and professionals in health and fitness.
