Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

At Lakewood, we are marking MLK Day through our theme, "Dream. Act. Serve." with meaningful opportunities to gather, reflect, and recommit to the values Dr. King championed.

This includes Hands Across Lakewood, a symbolic walk that will brings residents, families, and team members together in unity, representing connection, belonging, and our shared commitment to community.

We welcomed the joyful sounds of the season with the talented high school chorus from The Steward School! They produced a beautiful Christmas program filled with classic carols and holiday favorites.

Gobble, gobble, let’s trot! 🦃

On Monday, our community bundled up, laced up, and hit the path for a cheerful Turkey Trot around Lakewood! It was all about fun, fresh air, and moving at your own pace—no stress, no pressure, just plenty of smiles and holiday spirit.

As we enter Thanksgiving week, we are celebrating the incredible generosity of our Lakewood community and surrounding partners!

This month, our residents volunteered at Feed More and helped package more than 2,000 backpacks filled with nutritious food for children facing weekend food insecurity. Wearing their Lakewood Gives Back shirts, they showed what it truly means to care for our neighbors.

We are also excited to share that our Fill the Bus for Feed More Food Drive collected 1,621 pounds of food. Thank you to our amazing community partners who helped make this possible:

On Veterans Day, we recognize that none of the freedoms we enjoy, nor the services we provide, would be possible without the sacrifices of the Americans who have served, fought for, and protected our country.

Today, we honor the brave individuals who have given so much in service to our nation. To our residents who served and to all who continue to defend our liberty, we extend our deepest gratitude.
