A 2025 study published in AJOG adds powerful, up-to-date data showing associations between doula care and improved maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Maternal Outcomes:

More vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC): For every 100 patients who received doula care, there were 15 to 34 additional VBACs compared with those without doula care.

Higher postpartum follow-up attendance: 5 to 6 more per 100 received postpartum office visits.

Key Neonatal / Infant Outcomes

Increased exclusive breastfeeding rates: Babies whose families had doula support were more likely to breastfeed exclusively.

Fewer preterm births (and early preterm births): Doula-supported births showed a reduction in preterm birth rates.

In short, the study links doula care with improvements in birth outcomes — across birth mode (more VBACs), infant health (less prematurity), and early infant care (breastfeeding, postpartum follow-up).

The moment I first held my daughter in the water, everything slowed down.

I remember thinking.. this is what birth is supposed to feel like.

Safe. Supported. Held.

My first birth felt nothing like this. It was scary, forced, traumatic, and nothing I ever had wanted for myself or my precious baby. And the contrast between these two births changed the entire direction of my life.

Ever since, l've carried this quiet pull to help other women feel this same kind of care and steadiness during their own journeys into motherhood.

Do you ever feel like everything you've gone through in life was just preparing you for this?

When I was only 17 and still in high school I became a certified nursing assistant. I worked at a nursing home, memory care unit, hospice/home health, and then at a surgery center. I went on to get an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Radiology and became a Radiologic Technologist and shortly after was certified as a CT Tech. My whole teenage and adult career l've been taking care of people. Not because I had to, but because I genuinely loved doing it and wanted to. When I had my first child, I quit that career to be a stay at home mom. The most important and rewarding career yet 🤎

While I have loved being a stay at home mom and getting to watch my babies grow up, I have still always carried that desire to truly help other people. That is why I started my business in the first place. I wanted to show the deep support I have for mothers in the most nurturing way I could think of. I started creating products at home with so much love and intention behind them. I've poured my heart and soul into making my recipes, products, labels, and sending the message to other mothers that I truly care about them because they matter too.

This next journey ties in so nicely to the business I've already built based off of these core beliefs. I have never been more excited to be doing anything. I know that God has had a plan for me all along and the closer I get to this next chapter the more I know this is what I'm meant to be doing.

Packaging up handmade all natural products that I poured my heart and soul into making, and sending them to someone who truly needs and deserves them. I hope this care package truly lightens up their day and they enjoy them us just as much as I enjoyed making them🤍

I know both versions of this mother.

The one lying in a hospital bed feeling scared, unheard, and completely alone.

And the one surrounded by steady hands, soft voices, and support — feeling strong, safe, and deeply trusted in her own body.

I’ve lived both.

My first birth left me feeling powerless.
My second birth healed something in me I didn’t even have words for.

That difference — support — changed everything.

And it’s the reason I care so fiercely about how women are treated in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Every woman deserves the second experience. 🤍
