As a token of appreciation for all our hardworking colleagues in the barns, we would like to honor your work today. We know that equine dentistry that serves the entire equine population would not be possible without equine dental practitioners who treat horses in the field every day.

Similar to human medicine, not every horse requires advanced diagnostics for routine care. Not every case requires an endoscopic, radiographic, or even a CT examination, let alone endodontic treatment or extraction. We thank the equine dental practitioners who, during their examinations with headlamps and mirrors or oral endoscopes, are able to detect issues and decide whether further diagnostic evaluation by a veterinarian, who is specialized in equine dentistry, is necessary. We appreciate those who then refer those cases.

I’m planning on being there around 4:00pm!!!

‼️ Intern Opportunity ‼️

As I head into the busy season, I am looking for a motivated individual to assist me on weekends and gain hands-on experience in equine dentistry. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real, practical exposure and is interested in growing within the equine industry.

Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with dental charting
• Assisting during dental floating procedures
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• And most importantly… keeping me company 🤣

Requirements:
• Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable around horses
• Eager to learn and build equine knowledge
• Preferably age 16+
• Must have a valid driver’s license (or live near Ripley/ Point Pleasant)

This is not a high-paying position. This opportunity is intended for someone who truly wants to learn. You will be working alongside me directly, and I will never ask you to do anything I am not doing right beside you.

I may not be the biggest name in the equine dental world, but I do have valuable knowledge and experience to offer someone who is serious about growing in this field.

📍 Ripley, WV
📩 Please PM me if interested or for more information

I will be selective in choosing the right person for this opportunity.

🌟🌟Sponsored Rider Interview🌟🌟

“My name is Derica Stake…I’m too old to discuss my age🤣. I am from Greenup, Ky. My main horse is Tess. She’s a 8yr old mare. I didn’t start barrel racing until I 27 yrs old. I always watched as a child but never had the means to do it.”

Who is your biggest influence in barrel racing?

“My biggest influence would probably have to be Emily Biesel. She’s so humble and caring. She’s loves her horses and just seems to be a genuine great person.”

What are your biggest achievements in barrel racing?

“I have been an American Qualifier and given how long it has taken me to figure this mare out that was pretty exciting! We have been Top 10 1D in IBRA, NBHA, BBR for the past couple years. We won the redemption round at NBHA Open Worlds, couple arena records…anything with this mare is an achievement 🥰”

What are your biggest goals for this season?

“I just want to continue to be able to do what I love. I want to keep my horse healthy and sound to be able to do this for the years to come! But we have some slot races to win in 2026!!”

Why did you apply to be sponsored by Ross Equine Dentistry?

“I applied because I truly believe Hunter loves his job and loves helping horses be healthy and competitive. He does a great job and I want to help him grow his business because he is has a bright future ahead of him.”

🌟🌟Sponsored Rider Interview 🌟🌟

“Hello my name is Bree Hemsley I’m 34 years old and I’m from Rutland Ohio. My main horse is Mitey Red Jet (Jetta). She is a 7 year old mare. I started barrel racing when I was 7 when I got my first horse. I’ve always been an adrenaline ju**ie so barrel racing was the perfect fit for me. It is a part of who I am and I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.”

Who is your biggest influence in barrel racing?

“I have a really hard time answering this question because so many people have influenced me in so many ways. My parents, friends and many people who have poured into me over the years. I honestly couldn’t name them all. But I do want to give an extra special shout out to Ken Baker for believing in me.”

What are your biggest achievements in barrel racing?

“I have qualified for BOTB two times placing in the top 6 one year. I have multiple 1D placings over the years. Recently in the past few years I have ventured into the rodeo scene and placed multiple times as well as several wins.”

What are your biggest goals for this season?

“My biggest goals for this season are to enjoy it and consistently improve the quality of runs I make. Several big shows I have on the agenda are BBR Finals in Oklahoma, Virginia Barrel Classic, and lots and lots of rodeos. I’d really like to win a new buckle.”

Why did you apply to be sponsored by Ross Equine Dentistry?

“I applied to be part of the team because I believe in your program and want to support you! I think the knowledge you have will benefit horses and riders in and out of the arena. I also love the fact that you continue to find ways to improve your knowledge in your area of expertise giving riders the confidence to utilize your services!”
