I recently had the opportunity to work on a complex case involving the extraction of an incisor tooth, specifically the 403 incisor, in a mare referred by Dr. Burdette. Through a collaborative effort, Dr. Burdette and I successfully extracted the tooth, which was causing significant pain, allowing the mare to potentially resume eating without discomfort. Dr. Burdette's expertise was instrumental in the procedure, as he took preoperative and postoperative x-rays to ensure complete extraction and administered a local nerve block to facilitate the process. I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Burdette for his exceptional work and for referring this case, highlighting the importance of collaboration in providing optimal care for equine patients.
