At our Home based massage treatment room you will find a comfortable mini spa environment where you will relax on a warm heated massage table, surrounded with candles and listen to soothing music and enjoy the soft smell of incense. I've had lots of new views on this page in the last week so thought I would update it.

Unfortunately due to increased care needs for my mother in law's Alzheimers I'm not able to massage at present.

I'm not sure when I will be able to return to work at this time, apologies.

Sundays are usually packed with football & other mundane 🙄

Today mini me decided, as we didn't have football, and she has growing pains, we needed to embrace the slowness of winter and everyone - including barbies - are having a spa session. Not too sure about barbies facemask, a bit too hannibal lector for my liking 😳

We often forget how painful growing pains can be and bring able to help your child relax, have natural pain relief through massage is so fab, and her feedback is so so cute 😍

Natural healing ✨️ taking time out to savour family time 💗

Apologies for being so quiet.

Unfortunately I can't do any in house massages for a while, as the neighbour's flat had a catastrophic leak and it has ruined our place. It is expected to take at least a month to dry out properly and another few months to rebuild / repair.

I am still working mobile with appointments, mainly on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. Please get in touch if you would like to book.

Sincere apologies for the lack of posts a day appointments recently. My daughter picked up a nasty flu bug from school, that gave me flu & Sinusitis, you forget how vulnerable your immune system is after pneumonia 😬

I have successfully beaten it with mullein & thyme tea, peppermint tea, celery juices and so much rest it felt wrong ! I've also been doing steam treatments and self massage on my face which has worked wonders to clear the fluid & pain. If ever I needed a reminder that massage, good nutrition and rest are crucial it was this month!

I'm so sorry to have let people down with not having treatment times in appointments but I have a strict rule that I won't massage during illness as I never want to pass on infections.

The good news is that after Easter I will be back open for appointments (I have a few already booked in) so if you would like to book an appointments after the 26th
April please get in touch.

What a beautiful surprise today, returning from rugby training with my eldest to find a lovely client had dropped this off, to Thank me for my recent massage.

Such a fab pick me up after being up ALL night 🥴😴 with my youngest (suffering badly with an ear infection & head cold)

Another reason to be grateful - the snow is finally melting so I can soon get growing more flowers for my lovely massage clients 😊

Beautiful morning doing a 90 minute full body Swedish massage with a mini Indian head massage, in a warm cosy space with candles, incence & blissful sounds of Peder B Helland.

This morning's wonderful lady had been so patient when I had to postpone before Christmas (due to illness)so I brought her a mini dried flower posy that she can pop in a mini vase, or use in the bath as it has Eucalyptus & Lavender.

Lovely to be back at work, despite the snow outside. Beautiful crisp sunny day 😊

Please note that I am taking an extended period off to ensure that I do not put anyone at risk of passing on any cold / flu bugs and that I am fully recovered.

Apologies for not posting for ages. I've unfortunately been ill for the last 3 weeks since the Flu mist was administered in school (I'm allergic to it) and I got pneumonia again.

Thankfully a course of strong antibiotics and our juicing ways is proving to be effective but I'm taking at least another week off to get better and get rid of my lingering cough. It wouldn't be professional to massage with an infection.

I will be in touch again as soon as possible when I am back up and running, thanks for your patience.

The power of meditation

Have you ever struggled to sleep or find time to stop ? all of us do, but not everyone listens to their body asking them to slow down.

Our daughter was a bit sniffly tonight and was struggling to go asleep. I've been trying to teach her meditation recently as the breathing techniques are brilliant for calming children down if they are upset or frustrated.

Tonight she asked me to guide her through a meditation and she chose a beach scene. I got her to imagine being on Alnmouth beach at sunrise and a butterfly swirling around her dancing in the air, changing colours as it went and then walking down to the front and watching the waves come in and out, at the same time coaching her to breathe in and out with the waves, and to let everything from today wash away to a blissful sleep.

She was asleep after 2 minutes 😴 😆

I love meditation so much. I really feel it should be on the school curriculum so children learn from a young age to connect with themselves and trust that they know, or that they will find a way, but mostly to let go of stress and tension.
