If your family receives a Medicaid waiver, there are some important updates about case management services you’ll want to be aware of 👇

Preliminary contracts have been awarded to Case Management Organizations (CMOs) that will provide services for individuals on the CIH, FSW, H&W, and TBI waivers (this does not impact the PathWays for Aging Waiver). Case management companies will now support individuals on every waiver!

👉 What this means for you:

If your current CMO is on this list, you can continue services and likely keep your current case manager.

If your current CMO is not listed, you will need to choose a new provider. There is not a confirmed timeline yet, so stay tuned for updates.

If you don’t make a selection, you will be auto-assigned to one of the approved organizations.

💡 Good to know:

You can switch CMOs at any time, for any reason.

You can also request a different case manager within your organization if needed.

If your current case manager is moving to a new organization, you may be able to follow them—just ask!

✨ Most importantly:
These changes will NOT impact your waiver eligibility or your current services.

If you’re affected, this is a great opportunity to explore your options and find the best fit for your family’s needs!

Big changes are being proposed for Indiana’s Medicaid waivers (FS, CIH), and your feedback matters.

If you or someone you love receives services through a waiver, now is the time to learn about the proposed changes and share your perspective. The state is specifically asking for feedback on how these changes could impact the real-life experience of individuals using waiver services.

When giving feedback, think about questions like:
• How might these changes affect access to services?
• How could they impact caregivers, providers, or daily supports?
• What might change about the quality or consistency of care?

Your voice helps decision-makers understand what these policies look like in real life for families and individuals, not just on paper.

Take some time to review the proposals, talk with your community, and share thoughtful feedback about the impact you foresee. The more perspectives they hear, the better. Opportunity for feedback ends 3/18.

Advocacy starts with staying informed. 💬
