Huge news: The Supreme Court scheduled the oral hearing in Petito v. Moab City Police Dept.

“The Moab City Police Department has neglected its duty to provide the training and resources its officers need to do their job,” said James McConkie, an attorney with Salt Lake City-based law firm Parker & McConkie who represents Gabby’s family . “This is an institutional failure plain and simple.”

McConkie said evidence will “clearly show that if the officers had been properly trained and followed the law, Gabby would still be alive today. Failure to follow the law can have deadly consequences, as it did in this case.”

I agree. They did not follow the law. It’s a leadership issue. If we want lives to be saved, there must be accountability and consequences for leaders 💣

*This post focused on child sexual abuse and the Epstein files - please take that into account regarding your emotional space for that issue.

Toxic systems, whether family or government, operate in predictable ways.
1) Establish falsehoods and repeat them indefinitely

2) Discredit or manipulate factual evidence to water down the impact of abuse

3) Divide everyone involved to prevent agreement and cohesion about the extreme boundary

violations that will damage a child’s soul.

4) Portray sexual assault victims, often children, as willing parties in the abuse while portraying the accused as the real victims (DARVO)

5) Force a choice: "Pick a side."

Regardless of your politics, many of us have seen this play out in our own living rooms. When a child was harmed, did your family choose transparency or debate? Did they protect the predator or stand up for the soul of the child?

Right now, we are seeing this play out on a national stage with the Epstein files. If we cannot agree that anyone involved—regardless of title or party—must face full justice, we are repeating the same cycles of silence that kept us trapped as children.

Final thoughts

* Transparency must serve the truth, not the powerful. We need the full files, with redactions used ONLY to protect the identities of the survivors—not to hide the names of the enablers.

* When we manufacture distractions or political theatre, we are abandoning the victims all over again. Honor Epstein’s victims today by honoring the child within you who wasn't protected.

* We could stand together in full transparency, without using the truth as a gotcha moment.

Most children who are deeply cared for, protected, and seen are not at risk; predators target the "deficit of attention" created by neglect.

As a survivor, looking back at your younger self, can you see where a deficit of attention or a need to dissociate was used against you? Let’s hold space for that child today.

What do you think?

I’ve lowered my 1:1 session pricing in response to the current social and economic strain many people are living under.

These sessions used to be $150. I’ve lowered them to the top price $100. Or - can’t afford that? They’re now pay-what-you-can ($5–$85) if you’re experiencing financial difficulties - not because the work is less valuable, but because access matters.

I get it as a survivor. This shouldn’t be a luxury.

This offering exists to support people navigating abuse, instability, financial pressure, and identity rebuilding - without hustle culture, urgency, or shame. I’m holding this balance intentionally as a single mother while protecting my capacity to do this work well.

Sessions are 45 minutes, practical, and resource-focused.
Limited weekly availability to remain sustainable.
All via Zoom.

DM or Comment “HOPE” and I’ll send the booking link directly.

Booking details on my website & also link in my bio.
Click the first link in my Stan Store to get my booking calendar & secure checkout.
Alternate payment options available (Venmo, PayPal) to discuss via email or the Contact Me form on my website.

Other ways to support my work:
Please share, like, comment to keep me afloat in the dumpster fire of the algorithm.
Check out my podcast and work on Substack!

Much love. Solidarity.

Felt called to break this down a bit further in psychological and sociological terms. I work with DV day to day - and it is still always bewildering to me when people can automatically deny legit facts and reality. But this is where we are at collectively, we are living in a split reality.

This isn’t “losing control.”
This is a predictor of death — and too many people still minimize it.
