Hot of the press is my latest personal essay on gaining a new (old?) understanding of health and getting diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
An excerpt:
"The diagnosis was anticlimactic, like finally closing a book after stalling on the last sentence of the last page for centuries, unsurprising but liberating in its finality.
A year ago under my previous primary care provider the quest for answers and diagnosis stalled out. She referred me to the Mayo Clinic and when they rejected the referral, she left me to my own devices, pushing me out the door with my constellation of symptoms and a paper indicating normal labs while a familiar bitterness rose like acid at the base of my throat.."
By the time the diagnosis came, it meant nothing.

In this essay I explore the reasons why witches should not be using AI in the practice of our craft. Read all about it in the link below!
Should any witchcraft practitioner be using ChatGPT to write spells or rituals? In my opinion, no. Here's why.

My latest essay includes a ritual and divination spread for the full moon this weekend.
An excerpt:
"I pay attention to what’s happening astrologically and have, over time, drawn correlations. The collective energy has been volatile these first six days of September. I feel a distance from this volatility rather than being swept up in it, and have found myself in the role of witness. I watch emotions flash like lightning on the faces of the people I come across, feel the anger or discontent wafting off of them along with the weight of all that’s unsaid in their hearts. I’m not digging for it (I don’t do that). It’s readily present within their auras.
This month is an eclipse month. In a magical sense, I don’t care about eclipses at all. They don’t affect my magical practice and never have. In a practical sense, I am absolutely seeing what astrologers have been talking about. Issues are coming to a head. Endings are on the table..."
My thoughts on what's happening with the collective energy during this eclipse month, and a ritual and divination spread straight from my personal grimoire.

Please enjoy my latest essay "A Practiced Comfort with the Unknown."
Excerpt... "Some days, when the clouds are moving swiftly and the birds are gathering for concert, when there is an overcast hush on the green and I am sitting in circle with my animal companions, I can’t be bothered with the contrived world of men and the worries and fears and sorrows it brings.
There is only love and all it contains unspooling on the wind, only the wordless knowing and being known, threads of connection reaching out to me as I reach back. My night dreams ferment below the surface but the unknown rests like a calm pond within me. All will be revealed in time and I am, underneath it all, prepared.."
This life and all it holds unravels like an endless spool of thread. There is always more to the story. So I hold the truth as lightly as I have learned to hold love.

I hate that I even have to write this disclaimer, but this is the world we have developed for ourselves so it is what it is. NOTHING I do is ever generated by AI. The tarot and oracle readings I do, the writings I create and publish, the art I make, the emails I send, and so on and so forth: it all comes directly from my hand, my mind, my connection with Spirit. I never use generative AI. I never use ChatGPT. I will never use either of these things. I am a real artist and a real psychic.

Read my latest beautiful essay on August and summer reflections, and on anticipating autumn.
An excerpt:
"The season of fire has never been my favorite. There’s something about summer that I don’t trust. Perhaps it’s the nightmares of being baked to crisp black gingerbread, dying on an earth that’s too hot to live. Perhaps it’s due to all the loves that could only live for the season, bonds severed at the end of the holiday dying off like the last blooms in the heat, hearts full of seed scattered in opposite directions. Summer feels like stepping into an illusion, a heady fever dream, for a time. Perhaps my distrust comes from longing for what endures when summer is the epitome of ephemeral.."
I love summer as best I can with her sticky heat and heady blooms, with her abundance of honest life and growth and death. I have spent my summer stuffing my soul with the sun.

“Every witch has to decide on the ethics of their own practice. If we are concerned about ethics and free will then the questions we need to ask ourselves and decide for ourselves in terms of working our craft to influence another are when, and why? But first, we need to have a clear idea of what magic does and doesn’t do..”
