i’m very excited to announce the opening of my shop on june 1st 2013! for those new to the program, i’d like to tell you a bit about me and about my shop. i had hoped to return to my university for one last semester before graduating after summer term ended, but three days before the start of the semester, i was diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma. it was devastating, to say the very least, but i decided that i would not let my cancer define me or completely consume me as a person. i am and always have been a very passionate crafter, in sickness and in health. i successfully completed all of my treatments on may 9th! i still have some health obstacles i’m trying to work beyond, the most important one being exhaustion. i’ve become too deconditioned by cancer treatments to hold down a job, but i still have my dedication to art and crafting. my etsy shop will help me afford school this fall and take care of medical expenses left over from treatment that insurance didn’t cover. every sale will help! and so i thank you for your interest in me and in my business. i hope to have a very successful summer of recovery and healing through art and papercraft.
