Seeking support is a powerful form of self‑care. Understanding your needs, naming any barriers, and asking questions can help you find a therapist who respects your identity and supports your family’s well‑being.

very very very true! having honest, clear, and empathetic conversations is always a win! remember, "parents" come in all relations...you could be an aunt, uncle, grandparent, cousin, gym teacher, English teacher, etc. ALWAYS trust your gut! It truly can save a life!

A parent’s gut instinct may be to keep quiet about their own mental health difficulties to protect children. Unfortunately, not talking about it does not make it go away, and children are more aware of their parents' mental health than parents may expect.
