🫀 A real CPR story that grabbed my heart
(American Heart Association • heart.org)
“She was only 28 when her heart suddenly stopped in the middle of a work meeting.”
Heather Baker was at her job in Illinois when she collapsed without warning. She went into sudden cardiac arrest. No signs. No time to prepare. Just life changing in an instant.
One of her coworkers had recently taken a CPR class and jumped straight into compressions. Another coworker ran for the AED, turned it on, and shocked her three times.
Because they moved fast, Heather survived.
Doctors said it is extremely rare for someone her age to survive cardiac arrest outside a hospital.
Now Heather shares her story to remind people that CPR and AED training is not “extra.” It is life saving. It is the difference between panic and action. It is the reason someone makes it home.
This is why I teach CPR.
This is why I want people trained.
You never know when someone you love will need you.
DM me to get trained. Training can save a life.
