At the hospital visiting my friend while they rest. I never go anywhere without my custom canvas. I’m appreciating the quiet moments — no regrets. Time is priceless. Do what you love.

This piece, “Healing Begins When You Allow Yourself to Feel the Way You Really Feel,” is coming to life with butterflies and floral details dazzled in Belleboost rhinestones. 💛

Pastor Marilyn Mathis,

Thank you so much for purchasing The Way I Really Feel Journal for someone who is grieving during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness truly means a lot.

I believe this journal will make a meaningful difference in her healing journey. It is such a blessing to see this book reaching another city and touching new hearts.

My prayer is that it not only supports her, but that it will also be shared and introduced to others who may need encouragement and healing.

With gratitude,
Jacqueline Brinkley 💜

Valentine’s Day & Grieving a Mother

Valentine’s Day feels different
when your mother is no longer here.

Her love was your first comfort.
Her voice, your first reassurance.
Her embrace, your safe place.

Today may feel quiet without her.

It’s okay to miss her smile.
Her advice.
The way she showed love in little things.

Grief is love that still lives inside you.

A mother’s love does not disappear.
It becomes strength in your spirit.
It becomes warmth in your heart.

You are still wrapped in her love. 💜

Valentine’s Day & Grieving a Father

Valentine’s Day feels different
when your father is no longer here.

His love was protection.
Guidance.
Steady support.

Today may feel heavy without him.

It’s okay to miss his laugh.
His wisdom.
The way he showed up for you.

Grief is love that still lives inside you.

A father’s love does not fade.
It becomes courage in your steps.
It becomes strength in your heart.

You still carry his love with you. 💜

Valentine’s Day & Grieving a Brother

Valentine’s Day feels different
when your brother is no longer here.

His love was loyalty.
Protection.
Shared memories that only the two of you understood.

Today may feel heavy without him.
It’s okay to miss his laugh.
His jokes.

The way he looked out for you.

Grief is love that still lives inside you.

A brother’s love does not disappear.
It becomes strength in your heart.
It becomes memories that make you smile through tears.

You still carry him with you. 💜

Valentine’s Day & Grieving a Sister

Valentine’s Day feels different
when your sister is no longer here.

Her love was friendship.
Comfort.

A bond that felt unbreakable.

Today may feel quiet without her.

It’s okay to miss her voice.
Her hugs.
The way she understood you without words.

Grief is love that still lives inside you.

A sister’s love does not fade.
It becomes warmth in your spirit.
It becomes a part of who you are.

You are still connected by love. 💜

Valentine’s Day & Grieving a Child

Valentine’s Day feels different
when your child is no longer here.

Their love was pure.
Innocent.
A light that filled your world.

Today may feel especially heavy.

It’s okay to miss their smile.
Their voice.
The way they called your name.

Grief for a child is love that has nowhere to land —
but it still lives in your heart.

A parent’s love does not stop.
Not with time.
Not with loss.

You will always be their parent.
And they will always be your child.

That bond is eternal. 💜

The Day After the Funeral
When the service is over and the crowd goes home, the quiet hits different.
It’s the kind of silence that makes the loss feel real all over again.

Some wake up numb.
Some wake up exhausted.
Some wake up replaying memories they weren’t ready to face.
And some wake up wondering how the world keeps moving like nothing changed.

If that’s you today, breathe.
Grief doesn’t follow a schedule.
Love doesn’t end at the cemetery gates.
And you don’t have to “be okay” just because the service is over.

Take your time.
Rest your heart.
Let God meet you in the stillness.

You’re not alone in this tender in‑between.

Bishop Jerry McCullough will be missed by thousands.,
What a blessing to see the community come together to honor a man who poured so much love, service, and strength into others. His impact lives on in the way we live, give, and support one another. This is what love looks like.

As we enter the beginning of grief, we stand together as a praying community — lifting the McCullough family, his church family, and our entire community in continual prayer.

Reminder: Grief has no timeline.
We honor, we remember, we feel, and we heal at the pace our hearts can carry.

With Love Always,
From the Brinkley, Howard and Matthews Family
