TW: death of a child
The story of a little boy who died at school after choking on grapes has drawn a lot of attention. I have no knowledge of the details surrounding his death, perhaps that’s a post for another time. What I do see in this story is the tremendous gift that his parents have shared with his peers— they called for a celebration of his life, to share special memories, and to encourage those who knew him to live in the joy.
Children are aware of death, but they look to us to help figure out how to process the loss. This little boy will not be forgotten.
