Supporting The Jacobs Family Community outreach to raise funds and help support them in dealing with medical expenses Her recovery and medical care are still on going. They need our help!

Permanently closed.

This page has been created to help this family face the accumulation of medical debt from the last few years of unexpected illness and trying times. The first massive hit happened in Germany when Amber was in and out of the hospital between May and August of 2019 with toxic shock and sepsis twice. After a lengthy antibiotic treatment and another admittance she underwent a complete hysterectomy. In July 2020, just before leaving Germany and moving to Illinois Shawn was hospitalized several times and ended up having 3 surgeries to remove kidney stones blocking his right kidney. After they arrived back in the states, Amber has been able to see a team of specialists including the Mayo Clinic and follows up with other specialists for continuous care, testing, and treatments. Most recently Shawn had emergency procedures and surgery to remove 3 more kidney stones; this time blocking his left kidney. He is now recovering and returning to work but due to high deductibles and percentages unpaid by insurance they are facing thousands more in medical debt. They continue to pay on the thousands for services and circumstances while they were living in Germany. It’s a hard realization to know your health is a burden and that the bills accumulated to seek treatment and recovery are not feasible on your own. Donations can be mailed directly to the family or sent thru PayPal to the email address included on the page. Let’s pour out in loving support on them as they have done for so many!
