Yesterday, this sweet baby girl wrapped up my final birth for 2025. 💕
This year, I had the honor of helping 11 families welcome their precious babies into the world and supporting 15 families through the postpartum journey. I am forever grateful for every family who trusted me to be part of such an important and sacred season of life.

I’m also beyond thankful for my husband, in-laws, and our amazing babysitter who jump in at the last minute when babies decide it’s time, because they certainly don’t check the calendar before making their grand entrance! 😅

And a huge thank you to Flat River Doulas for being the best team a girl could work for. I couldn’t do this without you.

This year I took a leap of faith and left my corporate job of 9 years to pursue my passion. You all have made that dream a reality.

Here’s to all the babies I’ve welcomed in 2025, and all the sweet little ones to come in 2026. 🫶✨

Today I’m feeling extra grateful for every single family who has trusted me to be part of their most precious moments. Being present as you welcome your sweet babes into the world is an honor I’ll never take lightly.

This year has been such a beautiful one, full of growth, courage, and the joy of stepping fully into a career that truly feels like where I’m meant to be. I’m so thankful for this path, for the connections we’ve built, and for the love that surrounds this work.

“God has His arms wrapped around you as you go in to support this mom. You are so brave and incredibly selfless for putting her first. You were made for this industry.”

These were the words a dear friend sent me today as I went to support a mom, just five days after having my own loss.

If this season has taught me anything, it’s that I am made for this work. Even in the midst of my own pain, there wasn’t a single part of me that didn’t want to show up for her.

This is exactly where I’m meant to be.

This is such an awesome thing!

✨ Big news for birth support in Grand Rapids! ✨

After many years of advocacy, Butterworth Hospital is once again welcoming doulas into the OR to support clients during cesarean births starting in February 2026! 💛

We’re overjoyed that families will now have continuous doula support from labor, through surgery, and into recovery. Every birth deserves compassionate, familiar care, and this change means we can continue walking alongside our clients even when their journey takes a little side quest.

This is a huge win for birth equity, emotional safety, and the beautiful work of continuity of care. 💫

✨ Daily Postpartum Reminder ✨

You are healing, and that takes time, give yourself grace. 💕 Your baby doesn’t need perfection, they need you, present, loving, and cared for. Rest when you can, accept help when it’s offered, and remember: you are doing an amazing job, even on the hard days.

Postpartum can feel overwhelming and lonely at times, but gentle reminders like this can help shift the way we care for ourselves. Healing isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual too. 💫
