Healthy Is My Happy Creating specialized menus for individuals and groups who might have particular eating requirements or who need guidance in healthy meal planning.

Since 1970, obesity rates have more than doubled for not just adults, but children, too. A study done just this year shows that two-thirds of American adults are overweight, over a third are clinically obese and that children and teens under 19 now make up 25 percent of this number! But that’s not even the worst of it. Many experts are predicting that by the year 2030, the obesity rate in the U.S. will be over 50 percent! My goal, is to help people make a difference within their lifestyle by motivating people to lead happier, healthier lives through nutrition and exercise. Being healthy doesn't have to be hard or complicated - in fact, it can be fun! As a weight loss coach, (certification through National Association for Fitness Certification), I work with people to change their lifestyle so that they can get down to a healthier weight. As a meal planner, I put together specialized menus for individuals and groups who might have particular eating requirements or who need guidance in healthy meal planning. We all know by now that there's no magic pill or secret to staying fit, but it doesn't have to be hard or time consuming to look and feel your best, either. Let's work together to make your nutrition habits and healthy weight sustainable. I'm not a fan of dieting or calorie counting - I believe in working together to find an individual and realistic approach to nutrition that fits within your lifestyle, schedule, and goals. This is not about deprivation - it's about learning how to balance treats and favorite foods with those that will nourish and sustain your daily activities. Let me help you increase your energy, eat mindfully, lose weight or keep it off, and learn quick and easy snacks and meals for your busy lifestyle. A friend gained some knowledge about her own health last week. She took a Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test that tested her resting heart rate and caloric balance. She discovered some things about her food intake that will continue to keep her fit and moving. We have to be knowledgeable about what makes our bodies work and/or not work.This type of test is so important! It is also important to know your numbers - your Body Mass Index, Cholesterol Levels, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure. These are key indicators of your risk for serious illness. Knowing these numbers can assist you in how to make changes to improve your health and reduce your risk of illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes and more. Know your body! Know your numbers!
